"From what I know (please, someone feel free to correct or validate what I'm saying), having the link end in `public/` or `public/#/screen/home` will auto-select the user's language to what they have set in their browser if it is an EU language." It does not. I lived in Sweden for the past half year and while most sites auto-selected Swedish the ECI site did not. That's why I specifically added the Swedish part in the URL. It's exactly what Ross had, specifically for Swedish speakers. The site FAQ doesn't necessarily match what Ross talks about in the video regarding his giant FAQ. I don't editorialize, that's not the job of a translator or transcriber.

Echo reports the description doesn't display correctly on the forum. It's been a while since I popped in here, and even longer since I last submitted formatted captions. Since Ross is going out with a bang, well, sort of, I decided I'd put my all into subtitles for the video as soon as it was uploaded. Don't be deceived by the TXT extension, it's an SMI formatted colorized caption file, and YouTube can read them as such without even needing to alter the extension. It just knows by parsing the text content. Just upload like any other SRT or SMI (with timing), and click publish rather than editing them in editor (again, you'll know since there's a message that says something like "warning, editing these captions will remove all formatting" type message), and clicking publish will correctly display the formatting. The second title translation passed to us has garnered some confusion from some comments (we're trying to save games, not the gaming industry, big big difference), so instead of the correction, the original title is preferred: "¡Los europeos pueden salvar los videojuegos! (Lo digo en serio)"

My mistake: I looked a little closer, and I realize now: "Note: You may not have multi-language audio available. We will continue to roll this feature out to more creators." So I don't know if YouTube is picky about who they give those privileges to, or if Ross isn't famous enough or what. Guess we're on a waiting game. I don't suppose anybody wants to reupload a dub or something. Damn.

Ross has approved dubbing! (Some countries prefer it to subtitling) The Spanish dub for the ECI launch was produced by native speaker KB (one of the official ECI organizers), and, as per Ross's request, approved by multiple people: Besides KB from Spain himself, Spanish speakers jun.soda and Daniel Alejandro Salcedo Perez have OK'd it, verifying that it is mutually understandable, and of sufficient quality to be free from critical error. With the approval of three Spanish speakers, I feel confident submitting this dub, especially for spreading additional awareness about the campaign. We can make improvements upon hearing feedback.
