How cool and fun is it to play a wizard in games?

One of my biggest disappointments when playing wizards in games is that you can't cast none line of sight spells around walls or corners (like blizzard) -

I think part of the problem with the game is the extremely low ceilings, like the ones in menzorahban, kinda gives a weird motion sickness. Feels like you are playing as a 2-2.5m character
