I don't watch much anime that involves fighting. Fight scenes really bore me. I know I keep talking about them whenever anime comes up, but my favorites are always: Clannad, Haruhi, Ouran, and Fruits Basket. If I even think of episode 16 of the second season of Clannad I get teary eyes, sometimes cry. Yes, that is happening right now. Fun fact: Nagisa is from Clannad.

I'd recommend watching both the original series and the revamped series, Brotherhood. Brotherhood is more true to the manga, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily better than the original anime. Both well worth a watch.
