Let us rebel against our fascist leaders of the US!

By now, I suppose you are all here wondering why I am here,

preaching infront of you all today. Quite simply, I came here to ask you all a simple question:

Who here likes the state of the US right now?

Since you aren't with me right now, I'll answer both sides.

If you do like how things are going..

I don't see why. I suppose you're entitled to all of your opinions, but in truth your opinions are not your own;

but the opinions of the swine in the office today.

I propose that we rebel against our owners and fight to the death for all that is good for our country!

For without that, what is there? The founders of America, as we no longer know it, fought and sacrificed their lives to bring you the comfort of true freedom.

As with all countries..America is destined to fall.

That is, unless we all fight as equals, musket to bayonet, bayonet to musket!

If you DON'T like it, however..

Then why don't we DO something about it?

The socialist dunces in the office twiddle their thumbs all day,

doing nothing to solve the economical crisese.

I believe that it is time that we reformed the US into a new, more pure state.

As with the revolutions before; our america will be rebelled against too.

But I pray for us; so that we don't end up like our enemies today.

Come, my brethren! Together we march against the fascist swine!

We will drive them back from the depths of hell that they so desperately claw from every single day that they are in office!

Look at the history books that were left untouched by the raving scoundrels that spread their

insane drivvel propaganda in attempts to keep us as sheep. Hope is not lost, my friends,

for freedom still lives in my heart, and hopefully all of you and many, many others.

Down with the US, up with the revolution!

Yes, I am real.

I believe that the US in its current state is blastphemy; we must get away from the ignorance that is technology and we must fall back on what our ancestors relied on. I think that as a people we must stand up and fight for what is rightfully ours; Our freedom! Does no one feel the same? If not, we are truly lost as a sovereign nation.

Which is in essence, what the Taliban believe. You cannot remove what you perceive as a problem without killing scores of people and banning dissent.

I'm not sure where you get your news and information RPG, but I can take a guess seeing as how you refer to the current administration as socialist fascists and you're itching for some kind of violent uprising. If you do get your information from the far-right noise machine keep in mind they may have both a financial and ideological interest in making people afraid and angry. The religious-right for example is particularly good at this, their fund-raising e-mails usually contain stuff like " OBAMA PLAN TO FORCE YOUR CHILDREN TO BECOME SOCIALIST HOMOSEXUALS! " It doesn't matter to them that it's a lie, but it opens the pocket books.

It's fascinating to watch the far-right media sound the alarm that communism and the fema concentration camps are coming along side ads of survivalist gear, guns and bogus investment opportunities in gold.

So take a step back, calm down, it's a country of 300 million people who all have the same right as you do to express in which direction they want to take the country. Because honestly it sounds like you want to take drastic action and people may get hurt.

There's always the option to build a nice cabin in the woods and go off-grid and let the world go crazy on its own, something for you perhaps? Given your aversion to technology.

It is my honest opinion that technology, such as Iphones and other miscellaneous items related to Apple or Mac is blinding our youth to the battle that we, as Americans should have been having years ago.

Refer to the post I just made.

Personally, I prefer to think that RPG is a somewhat misguided romantic idealist rather than some kind of a misanthropic sociopath wishing for the destruction of humanity.

I also seriously dislike the way the technology is being abused by governments, intelligence services and corporates like Apple & co. But we simply don't have an option to go back. If you want that - it's OK, but it will have to happen in your dreams. Watch movies, read the period books, play games - write your own, perhaps. The reality, however, will move on.

No technology is intrinsically bad - it's what people do with it that acquires a moral content. But once a technology has been invented it's impossible to uninvent it back and the only way is to learn to leave with it and find a way how immoral uses of it could be contained or suppressed or undermined. It's the old game of a few who hold the power against many who don't, but when the many unite, they acquire a counter-power.

On war and weapons - yes one can draw a conclusion that the purpose of any technological advance seems to be in creation of new weapons. That will be a mistake though.

The driving force of life is to decrease the entropy within the space it occupies by consuming free energy from outside. In order to sustain itself life must always expand (because the energy supplies are finite) and to expand it must multiply in numbers.

Because of that we will always try to command more and more energy as a civilisation and weapons are simply a reflection of that. But war cannot be a purpose in itself as it is a net expense of energy, rather than an acquisition. War is a tool and it only works in moderation and if you misuse it you pay dearly in the end.

I like this guy.

Thanks to Vapyrimid for embodying the voice of reason and not just internet trolling/insulting in that post.

Fascist leaders exist everywhere, some african countries have it hard having these guys killing each other for control.. Which is what happens in the US with hitmen, cancer and fatally tragic accidents to important people. A change and revolution is much needed in the world, but not as one trail of thought erradicating the other but more like evolving out of the weaknesses of the global society as a whole, such as the monetary system or the corrupt forms of power that we currently use, keep people opressed and resources misspent.

Think about it, Earth stops global economy for a century in order to concentrate resources on a single goal, such as space travel or erraditcating man-made ecological problems for future generations, as we realize we screwed up and reduced the amount of resources in a short ass time, compromising something in the near to mid future. We could have ships as big as the enterprise, because there wouldn't be ''cost concerns'', your ship wouldn't need to fit a budget, there's no rival company running against the clock and you for that funding, you're all together working for the same thing. A technological race, at the scale of WWs and Cold War, with the technology we have today, concentrated on a single project, would be probably mankind's biggest accomplishment.

In the long run, in 1000 years, it could be crap, but it would represent the first step towards probably becoming a bigger species in the universe, rather to being so close to killing ourselves stockpiling more weapons that we can use bcuz 'murica n 'china n' blobal cntrol of ecnonomy n dollars n shit.

So yeah, change is definetely needed.

Agreed. That's one of the things that makes Vapymid so pleasant to have in the Serious Topic section.

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

Okay, since this is under serious topic discussion I will assume you are not trolling (I hope you can see why people would take this as trolling.) and give you a real answer. Let’s assume your rallying cry works and you get enough warm bodies to march upon the capital and take out the leadership. Assuming they step down or you win a long hard fought battle now what?

Who will you choose to lead this new America? You? What about the infrastructure of this country during the transition of power? How will food and water be distributed to the 300 million or so Americans? How can you ensure they all have power and heat? Even if you feel they don’t need television or internet, then what about the electricity needed for hospitals to keep the sick alive? Will you keep the US dollar, try to switch back to the gold standard, or do something else entirely?

Since you used the word fascist, I will assume that you dislike the laws of this country. How will you go about fixing them under your new America? Will you remove all of them but for a handful of important ones you can think of off the top of your head? How can you ensure that you won’t miss an obscure but important law? How will you enforce these new laws? With the police or martial law enforced by the army you used to overthrow the US? You could also keep all of the old laws but then just start the long process of removing all of the unjust laws. But then who would choose which one should be kept and which ones should go? Even if you do rework the laws then how do you get the word out? Do you send it via snail mail (assuming you still have a post office) or do you call up every district to inform them (assuming you kept the phone lines and electricity going)?

There are other matters such as how do you keep states from seceding, police states being formed by local military/gangs, foreign powers from invading, or one of the many other issues I failed to touch upon in this quick post. The truth is that things are very different then when the Founding Fathers of America fought the British for independence. Unlike then we live in a much larger fully explored America and we wouldn’t be fighting a handful of soldiers who get there orders by boat from across the sea.

If you really want to change things then why not try a more peaceful solution? Be someone like Elon Musk who tries to improve the world by pushing innovation or join in the ranks of people trying to dismantle the NSA. Trust me you are not the only one who dislikes the current government in the United States but a violent solution isn’t always the best. I am sure everyone dislikes the state of the world but forcing your change onto others is never the right way to go about it.

Unfortunately, leading a revolution requires quite a bit more forethought, and a lot less emotional baggage.

At this point there is very little that can be done to correct the horribly corrupt government that doesn't require changing over to a dictatorship, and having someone in power that can be trusted to relinquish control once the corruption is gone. I would volunteer for the job, but most people would construe it as a bid to rule the country. (and honestly, it'd be an incredibly boring and difficult job that I wouldn't want to be responsible for)

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.
