Not really since I don't have TF2 and (unless someone gifts it to me) I never will...

Assuming we could all have a relatively satisfactory ping.

The best I've ever gotten is 200 for a South Korean server, and Australian ones don't fare all that much better. But it wouldn't stop me from trying.

I'm in Vancouver, what's everybody else's whereabouts?

This is a nice metric server. No imperial dimensions, please.

I think the forum user-spread is just way too wide to have good ping for more than 2 players, unless you all fly to the same location before playing that is.

Lulz, like a Accursed Lan party.

I have a high-end wireless/wired router... Anyone want to come to Southern Colorado?

I pay for a UK TF2 server with 16 slots if anyone's interested.

Feel free to PM me about almost anything and I'll do my best to answer. :)

I'm in Canada, and I never get a good ping on any UK server.

Yeah, I've never had a good ping from any US-based servers either.

I would be interested, sadly I live in the UK meaning I get crap ping from any server not in Europe.

Well yeah, we've got a lot more than 16 people here.

Still, if people are interested I'll post up my server's IP (and anyone else's servers that they own for different locations like the US). Would be great if we could get some TF2 going and some awesome chat on great moments.

we can just create a private listen server... its gonna be laggy, but it will better than a public server... just type this in console IN THIS ORDER:

sv_lan 0

heartbeat

sv_region 1

net_start

changelevel ctf_2fort

sv_cheats 1

mp_password accursedforumsmeeting

mp_alltalk 1

do that in any source game (change the "changelevel command depending which game u playing) and it will create a listen server fully operational. no bullshit.

Whats a private listen server?

A listen server is a server created with the game itself rather than a dedicated server application. ie, you click the 'Create server' button in your game rather than downloading something else which when run looks like Windows command prompt.

You can't play the game from the dedicated server application but you can from the listen server. However, if you disconnect your game and you are the host of the listen server, the entire thing goes down, just as it would if you closed the dedicated server application.

It being private simply means its been given a password that prevents random people from joining because they do not know the password.

Does that help?
