I have finally fixed my computer. It took an entirely new motherboard, new processor, and since I couldn't find a motherboard at my local computer emporium that took DD3 RAM (they no longer want to carry DD3 motherboards?), I had to buy DDR4 RAM. Then I had to buy Windows again because I didn't have the product key for Windows 7 anymore when I upgraded to Windows 10, and the Microsoft tech said that the Windows 10 that I had was seeing the new motherboard, processor and RAM as a new computer (I had the same hard drive, of course, with a legal Windows installation on it, but that wasn't enough). And now, with all that shit behind me, I can finally get back to work and slowly recover my bank account... My poor bank account... Subs will be available soon.

ROSS'S YOUTUBE DEMONETIZATION SPECTACULAR
danielsangeo replied to Ross Scott's topic in Other Videos
Just to clarify: Would you like for me to hold off on subtitling until this demonetization is "solved" (whenever that will be) or continue to do them, at least for things like FM2 and RGD? -
Subs are delayed. My desktop computer (where the subtitles are stored) powered off. When I tried to power it back on, it boots up for about 5 seconds then powers off. Troubleshooting, but work and sleep are getting in the way of that...

ROSS'S YOUTUBE DEMONETIZATION SPECTACULAR
danielsangeo replied to Ross Scott's topic in Other Videos
I definitely agree that Patreon would be a great way to go, personally. But that's me speaking as a fan alone. And with Internet speeds increasing over time as well as storage space, I think an era of self-hosted "YouTube"-like streaming services will be coming. YouTube may be approaching the end of its life unless they can figure out a way to adapt. And, so far, they aren't. Finally, I don't believe I'll be subtitling this video. If another person wants to take a crack at it, I'll check it for errors and timing, but I won't be doing the normal stuff for the video. It's just too depressing. I am going to chalk this one up as being in the same bin, subtitle-wise, as the monthly video chats and playsessions with fans (which are NOT depressing, but are just too long). I will continue to do subtitles for the other videos--Game Dungeon, Freeman's Mind 2, Civil Protection (once that comes out of stasis), and so on, but this one won't be subtitled by me. Sorry. -
I have an idea for how to expand upon Hinterland. In ActRaiser, you had six regions: Fillmore, Bloodpool, Kasandora, Aitos, Northwall and Marahna. In Hinterland, it seems you only have one region: town and environs. Expand Hinterland to make six regions (or whatever number). You start off in one region, clear the area and discover a new region. Perhaps a rival town which you can either partner with or conquer, depending on your playstyle. If you conquer, you will have a tough battle, but then you get all their resources if you win. If you partner, you will have no battle, but you will have to share resources (you take some of theirs, they take some of yours). Something like that. Your task is to rid the lands of monsters and RULE THE WORLD! Or the island, whatever. Just an idea. Also, subs will be up shortly.

ROSS'S GAME DUNGEON: ARMED & DELIRIOUS
danielsangeo replied to Ross Scott's topic in Ross's Game Dungeon
I agree with the first two changes in the first part and will update that soon. The second two changes-- I don't hear "prom-mo-mo-bring" at all at 10:15. It really does sound like "Tra-la-la" to me. The latter makes much more sense in context too, since she (maybe) straight up murdered someone and couldn't care less. It fits, IMHO. Also, during the "country" song by the dancing boots, it's possible that they're plural but I doubt it, personally. "A horse named Boo" feels like a riff on " ". -
I listened to them and you're absolutely correct. I will make the changes soon. Thank you!

ROSS'S GAME DUNGEON: ARMED & DELIRIOUS

Subs up! Please note: I had supreme difficulty with some of the voice lines from the game. I guessed at some of them. If you see any errors and you know what is actually being said, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks! -

ROSS'S GAME DUNGEON: ARMED & DELIRIOUS

Just a quick note: The turnaround time for subtitles on this set of episodes will be fairly long. I'm very busy with projects at the moment and this very long Game Dungeon will take some time to create subtitles for. They will come, but it will take time. -

ROSS'S GAME DUNGEON: ARMED & DELIRIOUS

The "jazz?" at the beginning of the game while Granny is in the house has been stuck in my head for decades since playing this game the first time. Come on, man! Shake me now! Baby, baby! This game was like a fever dream from my childhood. I'm glad Ross covered it. -
Thank you, BIRB! I have stripped out the tags from the previously uploaded files, uploaded them to the Compendium, and sent them off to be added to the official YouTube account. I hope to see every video translated into Italian!

Busy trying to finish up projects so that I'm open to take more projects back on. Augh!
-
If you'd like, you can provide both the .smi/.sami and .srt files to the forum if you want to use the color tags. I should be able to relatively quickly strip out the color tags from the SRTs you've already submitted. I'm thinking for the future submissions. Thank you, however, for all the work you've done so far! I'll get to them ASAP.

Greetings. I am finally catching up on my backlog (again). So far, I'm going through all these and I want to thank you for them! Once I check them, they will be included in the Compendium and sent to be uploaded to the official YouTube videos. However, there's one thing I want to mention going forward. In the subtitles, you have Text in them. Could you perhaps remove these tags from future submissions? I don't know if YouTube will accept these kinds of tags so let's keep them without the tags. Unless I'm completely wrong, of course.

I'm sure Ross is aware of that conversation and has plans for it.
