Haha, but isn't it a rite of passage as a true Bible reader to create my own interpretation? It's what everyone else does. Maybe I'll found my own church for those sweet donations, just need a cool otherworldy name for it.

The way I always read that was that you shouldn't mark your body in a way detracts from God. All of the markings from that time were for other gods, so it would make sense to say "don't mark yourself" as a way of saying "quit worshiping false gods". (just my 2¢) That's true. When I get around to reading the Bible I'll probably go once through as word of the law and then another as spirit of the law and see how different those end up being. Maybe I'll write a paper on it or something for my own entertainment.

Somewhat annoyed. Trying to write a history paper but a STEM v. Everything Else argument from Reddit is hanging over my head. It bothers me in particular because I went from Engi to History after not doing so good, and that was only a few months ago so I'm pretty sore and very down about it.

Leviticus 19:28. At least it isn't vague, the accepted translation is tattoo or mark in almost every version. Just a quick Google search, not an actual Biblical scholar.

Shouldn't you be able to VPN into the American store and purchase them there?

Actually, we already do have this. On the top right of the board index you'll see "View unread posts" "View new posts" and "View your posts" New posts is anything across the whole forum that has new posts where as your posts are any topics you've posted in with new posts. Hey, I never noticed that before! I think that actually covers pretty much all I want. It doesn't link directly to posts in reply to me but it's a far sight better than going throught the whole board index. Thanks!

Dishonored DE and AC: Rogue right now.

Life is Strange is GOTY for me.

I swear there was this one game I had as a kid on my computer's Linux (I only had it for a little while, little me hated it) that was some sort of city builder. You'd arrive with a guy, cut trees and use the wood the build buildings. I would always lose because soon after a Black Knight comes and attacks you and I never won, no matter what. You also started out in the same place, next to a body of water with many trees. I remember you could build a shipyard amongst other things. On the same system there was a game, a top down RPG, about some sort of academy or school or some other big wood structure with lots of people. All I can remember is that there was lots of murder and you could attack anyone you wanted, but they found back, and better.

This is the thing I have in mind. Bottom of the board says IPbulletin but it's probably custom, being a big company and all. But I'd take anything with that functionality, regadless of how it looks.
-
That's fair enough. I was just throwing something out there that would make me personally use the forum more.
-
Isn't that just standard forum procedure? Haven't run across a forum where it isn't... Not on any of the ones I use. Most of the ones I'm usually on have a little notification system where it'll send me blips when someone quotes or replies to my comments. I guess this isn't common amongst the older forum softwares, and this one reminds me of the really old vbulletin that WWIIOL used, though I think even that sent me notifications on replies.
-
I know, but that still means I gotta go to each to folder and check for orange marks on threads I've posted in. And then it doesn't tell me if the new stuff bears any relation to my posts so I have to read it all to be sure.
-
Is there any way that a notifications bar can be implemented? I find myself using this forum very rarely, even though I'm quite active in my other forums of interest, mainly because I have to go to each and every thread I recall posting in in order to see if someone has replied to me.

Officer or enlisted?

Not sure I would phrase it as 'have to.' A pretty generic programming job'll probably pay quite a bit better than the gaming industry'll pay you but I would still chase the one you like more. O' course this is all from a guy who quit Engineering in his first year for History, and later, gubbermint. So prepare your statement salt for pinching.
-
You could always try fudging your way into a more boring/classic programming job while you put together a portfolio on the side.

Depends on what you want to do for them, I guess. One contemporary example is that a buttload of people in acquisitions are going to be force retired soon so there's gonna be plenty of stuff there. And there's always people dying or retiring, the Feds employ 3 million people and the state and local governments employ a further 16 million. That's the benefit of my choice of the MPA, it's the MBA for the government. Basically means I don't have to be discriminatory in what I apply to when I do, unless it's a technical position like engineering or IT. Plus with only 10% of the US population having a Master's degree and USAJOBS (Feds) listing 300,000 jobs a year on average (more if you're a civil servant already, for internal transfers and promotions) I can be fairly assured that it'll all fall into place without too much stress.
-
Makes me glad that in 4-5 years when I have my MPA (here's hoping, anyway) that I'll be going into government work. You know exactly where to apply and interviews are very structured if they happen at all.

In my opinion Bad Gimmicks: Palette swap customization (double if it's DLC), companion apps that do the same things as the game menu, Galaxy at War type companion games that are abandoned six months after release leaving useless menus in games, anything that automatically records clips on One, motion controlled anything. Good Gimmicks: Companion apps that provide uses, like maps for glancing at or totally independent side task. Any sort of customization that has an effect beyond color, gaming tie in short movies with at least decent production values.
