Games You've Finished Recently

Recommended Posts

Technically, I recently finished The Division 2. It basically resets to halfway through the World Tier campaign when you beat it the first time, but with somewhat stronger enemies and much better loot.

I wouldn't say it was recently but it is the last game I technically officially beat.

Path of Exile

And by that I mean I beat Uber Elder solo which is as of this moment ther most difficult boss fight in the game. Not part of the main story but it's always been my goal since the fight was added.

Recently played through the Android version of Dragon Quest III, which dropped me into a hard Dragon Quest hole.

I want to put some money into DQ1. If I'm understanding the premise of the game correctly, then Todd Howard may invented a time machine just for the Famicom.

Blood

And Jensen’s shit-eating grin is truly the only review needed for it.

I have finished the main storyline of Knights of Pen and Paper 2. Now I'm whacking at the DLC. Fun little game but I did thought it was something more like tabletop simulator at first, bummed when I couldn't make my own scenarios/mods even with preset stuff. But the game was okay, it does encapsulate how it is to play a TTRPG with friends.

Project Warlock

Simple game. Good gameplay. Amazing slaughter.

Enemies are well designed and killing them feels good. Not too long, not too short. What it lacks is better magic because is not that useful and some kind of survivor map challenge where you are on the closed map with enemies storming you in waves. Add an ammo resupply after each wave, upgrade stations in the center and boss safter 5 or 10 waves and it would be GLORIOUS.

Finished Queen's Wish: The Conqueror.

It ended poorly. I stumbled around the underworld, found the main enemy base. It was full of low-mid level creatures. What the hell? I go through waves of enemies without breaking a sweat. Finish. Get a slideshow cutscene using the main map for most of its imagery. I'm using tier 3 equipment; there's no real magical or Underworld equipment thereof.

I just..I get that they're Retro, but twenty years later the games seem the same then and now. It's high time at least the eye candy went up a bit. Better pixel art, Music - at all - better assets, better quests, better enemies.

I dunno...I recommend it if you can nab it on sale. There are highs and rises, not a lot of downers until the end. But it's milquetoast overall I guess.

I did all of them on my own tbh. None of them were that hard.

it's not that they were hard, but i just found them to be really tedious after a while, and i just wanted to play the actual game, it was just stalling me for the most part, i want to explore these alien worlds but nope, gotta solve some math problems

considering the context of the game, it just felt really out of place to me

i'm lazy and BRAIN THINK IS HARD

ME WANT SHOOT ALIEN, ME NO SHOOT ALIen, ME THINK???

nO ThINK, FOR SMART BRAIN ONLY IS

i just hate puzzles to be perfectly honest, school made me hate any problems which could otherwise be solved by using more explosives - math problems? BLOW IT UPPPP

honestly i just care more about the roleplay part in RPG games, and the game part - to me the sudoku was mostly just filler, it just felt like they had all these really interesting ideas going on, but nope have to stall the whole game to solve a PUZZLE - it really felt like they just kinda shoved that in, to either pad the game out, or because they weren't really able to come up with a more fun mini game

giant lasers are going to kill YOUUU, should you run away? blow up the generator, NO, SOLVE THE PUZZLEEE

this is a sci fi game about finding new worlds, and new alien species, but the constant interruptions were getting on my nerves, i just wanted to explore mostly

but anyway, i totally felt like the sudoku really got in between the roleplaying part of the game, the fact that i had no choice but to be forced to solve them in order to advance, honestly put me into a sour mood most of the time, i think the outer worlds has a whole lot more freedom, which i appreciated overall, even if i found the game to be a bit too empty, and too fetch quest crazy, but it was still more enjoyable than andromeda as a whole, i did cheat like crazy though, i maxed out my stats to 100, it made the gunplay way more fun

when you give me a gun, i pretty much have no patience for puzzles really

when a problem can be otherwise solved by shooting someone in their face, then why not shoot that special someone in their face? time is a very valuable resource, and i'd rather not waste it doing pointless filler tasks, that's what it felt like to me anyway, it just felt like they kinda gave up on the game halfway through, and that's the best they could do in all these years?

also it was extremelly immersion breaking, with how consistently they popped up, it just reminded me that i was playing a videogame to be honest, it's a pattern which i'm not a fan of seeing, it always takes me out from the adventure itself

i guess i just wanted an excuse to rant about puzzles really lol
