Hey, if that's what cooks your noodle, go for it. I'm going to sleep now. Good night!

Yeah. It's sad he's gone, I just learned about it when I got back home. He was the template for space explorers: a man with great character and at the same time, a simple and down to earth guy, coupled with huge technical expertise and nerves of steel. I saw this quote on Slashdot, and though it to be very fitting for the occasion. "A scientific colleague tells me about a recent trip to the New Guinea highlands, where she visited a stone age culture hardly contacted by Western civilization. They were ignorant of wristwatches, soft drinks, and frozen food. But they knew about Apollo 11. They knew that humans had walked on the Moon. They knew the names of Armstrong and Aldrin and Collins." from A Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan

Banned because of this

For some reason, Youtube is letting me upload custom thumbnails now. So I'm on an editing rampage, changing the images on a lot videos. Still thinking about that crossbow I saw the other day...
-
Watching "A nightmare on Elm Street" and wondering if I should buy that crossbow I saw yesterday... No relation between those two things.

Playing "The Walking dead". I just bashed a zombie babysitter in the head, with a hammer, at least 5 times. That's some hardcore-zombie-gore-shit right there.
-
I just had breakfast. I think I might go save somebody now in DayZ.
-
So, I set off a nuclear blast on top of Green Mountain. You know, because the place is evil and stuff. 1JGsuFv039A

Working. Luckily, it's Friday. It's been a long week.
-
Watching Pawn Stars, while I wait for my latest video to finish encoding.
-
I was reading about the new "Leviathan" and "Omega" paid DLCs for ME3, and thinking it's sad I will not hesitate even for one second about buying them, once they are out... Now I'm going to watch some TV.

Thinking about the Phobos 2 mission to mars. That was some weird stuff.
-
I just saved my first patient, as a freelance medic, in DayZ.
-
Watching true blood.

Any Goa'uld motherships around?

Ladies and gentlemen, Curiosity is on the martian surface. After traveling for nine months, the minivan-sized mobile laboratory pulled a James-Bond-like landing on the red planet, and is safely on the ground. The first images are here. From the robot's twitter account (yeah, it has a twitter account, we're talking about a very hip probe here): "FYI, I aim to send bigger, color pictures from Mars later this week once I've got my head up & Mastcam active #MSL." This is seriously awesome. Human knowledge and engineering pushed to the limit. Like it should be. Just think a about it: we now have a 900 Kg, nuclear-powered, state-of-the-art mobile laboratory, 350 million kilometer away, on another freaking planet. I'm really glad it all worked out.

I'm all misty eyed now, watching the photos and information coming from Curiosity, finally on the Martian surface. Ah, screw it, I'm bringing back the Space thread. This deserves a post.

Going out. Back in a few hours. Probably alone.

Thinking I might go to the Airfield in DayZ, and blast someone with my brand spanking new AS50 anti-material .50 BMG sniper rifle. That thing is massive.
-
Watching "Lost Girl".
-
Just rage quit DayZ. I swam like 10 minutes to Skalisty Island, found a freaking chopper just sitting there, then broke my leg while climbing a ladder at the boat house. Apparently, ladders do that.

I just got back home. Had a few beers with some friends. Feeling slightly inebriated. I'm also putting the finishing touches in this overly complicated scheme to mess with Bill. It involves 29 bucks and change, a squirrel and some blue paint. Oh, and a goat. All good schemes must have a goat.
-
I just finished playing with my dog. Labradors have unlimited stamina. I don't. Now I'm watching "the ugly truth".
-
Thinking I should be watching Scott Pilgrim vs. the World right now, but for some reason, I'm not.
