  1. People from another dimension still aren't getting enjoyment out of your suffering, Freeman. You're just being paranoid. freeman_s_mind_2_episode_6_en.srt
  2. That is so '80s, I love it! For me: TbsBEb1ZxWA

  4. Greetings, folks. Ross has stated in the past that he wants to overhaul the Accursed Farms website. Also, I realize that only English subtitles are linked from the main page. So, here is my intention for when the website is overhauled and rolled out: I plan to go through every video entry and add links to all currently available translations. There are currently some 421 subtitle files for the 167 videos currently subbed in English, not counting the ones recently added to the non-English language sections which I plan to go through and add to the compilation tomorrow and send off to be added to the official videos. I would go ahead and add the other currently translated files now, but I don't know if it'd survive the transition and, with so many files, I don't want to do double work. Sorry, folks. Hopefully I won't miss anything in the transition once the website is overhauled! Thank you!

  6. Subs will be up within the next 24-48 hours.
  7. Here it is! Dead Game News is not dead! dead_game_news_-_asheron_s_call_en.srt
  8. Just a heads up how I plan to do subtitles from here on out: Relatively short videos like Dead Games News and Freeman's Mind will be my priorities. Game Dungeons and other similar videos that are 20-40 minutes will be the least priority because they take a long time to do. With my other projects, this is how I have to do things. Game Dungeons will still be subtitled but they will be slower than short videos. My apologies.
  9. I have an idea for the dam jump. Freeman ends up near the dam opening after bringing down the hunter chopper. The hunter chopper lands on one of the explosive barrels, creating an explosion that throws the airboat through the dam opening and through the loading screen. Perhaps the explosion could cut the screen to white and end the episode mid-sentence. "YES! It's down! I am a god amongst men! Oh, shit, I hope it doesn't land on that barrel. Oh shit, oh shit, OH SHI--"*BOOM!* Episode ends. Next episode, Freeman wakes up floating in the airboat, on the other side of the dam near Black Mesa East, extremely angry at what just happened. Just an idea.

  11. I dunno. I feel it's pretty much a gradient there, as with the other generation names listed. Regardless! I have completed typing up the subtitles for this Game Dungeon, and I have finished placing markers where the text should appear and disappear. I ran out of time this morning to line up the subtitles and reformat them to something that is legible, but I should be able to get the subtitles out within the next 24 hours. Thanks for your patience! The subtitles for the next Game Dungeon will, unfortunately, have a similar turnaround time. Sorry.
  12. While referencing Merriam-Webster for the correct spellings of certain terms for the subtitles, a small popup appeared talking about a word they were "watching": Xennial. Felt like it was referencing this Game Dungeon where Ross was talking about terms for generations. I.... don't know how I feel about "Xennial". I like it because it sounds like a Half-Life term....but that doesn't really count for human generations. Xennial is supposedly for those between Generation X and Millennial. I...don't think we need a term for them. They're either Generation X or Millennial.
  13. Just a heads up, folks: I am a little over halfway done with the subtitles for the "Life is Strange" Game Dungeon. As the "Black Mirror" episode is even longer than that Game Dungeon, it could be a while before subtitles for Black Mirror are done. Sorry, but it's unavoidable. (And to think, I originally intended to only subtitle Freeman's Mind and Civil Protection....)
  14. I am extremely surprised that Ross covered this game (even if it's the demo version). Never in a million years would you have convinced me beforehand that he'd cover this. That said, this video is 36 minutes long. As such, the subtitles will be very much delayed. Sorry, folks. They'll come, just not soon.
  15. I've found that the lack of communication from ANY business is never a good thing. It makes too many people suspicious and angry which results in a loss of revenue. I don't understand why they do that.
  16. Yeah, new hardware is good. But this isn't about me. This is about Hinterland and Ross. And with that: Subs up!
  17. Friggin' bards. ross_s_game_dungeon_hinterland_en.srt
  18. I have finally fixed my computer. It took an entirely new motherboard, new processor, and since I couldn't find a motherboard at my local computer emporium that took DD3 RAM (they no longer want to carry DD3 motherboards?), I had to buy DDR4 RAM. Then I had to buy Windows again because I didn't have the product key for Windows 7 anymore when I upgraded to Windows 10, and the Microsoft tech said that the Windows 10 that I had was seeing the new motherboard, processor and RAM as a new computer (I had the same hard drive, of course, with a legal Windows installation on it, but that wasn't enough). And now, with all that shit behind me, I can finally get back to work and slowly recover my bank account... My poor bank account... Subs will be available soon.
  19. Just to clarify: Would you like for me to hold off on subtitling until this demonetization is "solved" (whenever that will be) or continue to do them, at least for things like FM2 and RGD?
  20. Subs are delayed. My desktop computer (where the subtitles are stored) powered off. When I tried to power it back on, it boots up for about 5 seconds then powers off. Troubleshooting, but work and sleep are getting in the way of that...
  21. I definitely agree that Patreon would be a great way to go, personally. But that's me speaking as a fan alone. And with Internet speeds increasing over time as well as storage space, I think an era of self-hosted "YouTube"-like streaming services will be coming. YouTube may be approaching the end of its life unless they can figure out a way to adapt. And, so far, they aren't. Finally, I don't believe I'll be subtitling this video. If another person wants to take a crack at it, I'll check it for errors and timing, but I won't be doing the normal stuff for the video. It's just too depressing. I am going to chalk this one up as being in the same bin, subtitle-wise, as the monthly video chats and playsessions with fans (which are NOT depressing, but are just too long). I will continue to do subtitles for the other videos--Game Dungeon, Freeman's Mind 2, Civil Protection (once that comes out of stasis), and so on, but this one won't be subtitled by me. Sorry.
  22. I have an idea for how to expand upon Hinterland. In ActRaiser, you had six regions: Fillmore, Bloodpool, Kasandora, Aitos, Northwall and Marahna. In Hinterland, it seems you only have one region: town and environs. Expand Hinterland to make six regions (or whatever number). You start off in one region, clear the area and discover a new region. Perhaps a rival town which you can either partner with or conquer, depending on your playstyle. If you conquer, you will have a tough battle, but then you get all their resources if you win. If you partner, you will have no battle, but you will have to share resources (you take some of theirs, they take some of yours). Something like that. Your task is to rid the lands of monsters and RULE THE WORLD! Or the island, whatever. Just an idea. Also, subs will be up shortly.
