Hardest would have to be the final levels of a game my brother made for the old Apple computers back in the late 80's... (back before his accident his IQ was somewhere above 190, and he had it mostly dedicated to computer programming and graphics) Couldn't say why that was so much harder than Doom 3 on Nightmare with an 'enhanced difficulty' mod, but it was for some reason. Was far more fun too...

FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- moments
BTGBullseye replied to Average Internet Guy's topic in Gaming in general
Was playing the DX:HR leaked beta, and was making a trainer option for it... Just got the option done, was in the save dialog, and Cheat Engine crashed. Then I went back to the game, tried to redo the option, and a brownout crashed my external drive. (I have the game on my external drive) Another was I had just torrented The Adjustment Bureau, and tried to play it... Caused a BSoD. Then when I finished rebooting, I had to reinstall both the 32 and 64 bit versions of the K-Lite Codec Pack just to play videos/audio from my computer. -
I couldn't care less... Either way I make sure to get a no-DRM crack for the game. (unless it's Steam, then there is no need, just run in offline mode)

Bioshock: a criticism of capitalism and objectivism?
BTGBullseye replied to Michael Archer's topic in Gaming in general
Ah, but A can also be ա, një, bat, একটি, един, un, 一, en, een, isang, ein, ένα, એક, yon, एक, sebuah, ಒಂದು, на, o, ஒரு, ఒక, bir, ایک, אַ, or even 1. (1 on a base 26 numeric translation of the English language) That's one interpretation of "A". This is part of why Objectivism doesn't work in real life... It doesn't cover any of the different viewpoints, which are definitely there, and rarely the same between individuals. It also can't work when things are unknown. -
That game you hate that everyone else loves.
BTGBullseye replied to Psychotic Ninja's topic in Gaming in general
Agreed, but nobody seems to want to start by doing it that way... Games on my list: Any Legend of Zelda game after Link to the Past. All CoD except 1 and 4. Battlefield 2. (not any others, I loved all the rest) All the Pokemon games except the few early ones for the GBC. (and their remakes for the GBA) All Halo sequels. (the original game was awesome, the rest were meh) All WoW ripoffs. Runescape or anything similar. Call of Juarez. (can't think of much that sucks worse) Puzzle games of virtually any kind. -
DX:IW Everyone said it sucked, but when I found a used copy for $5... I liked it. Never played the original game, but IW got me into the series, and made me torrent the leaked Beta of DX:HR, so it can't be bad. PS: Torrent the leaked Beta of DX:HR if you can, it's well worth it. (I suspect it was an intentional leak to build up hype, which I'm exceedingly willing to do since playing the leaked version)

Xenocell. Persistent clan bases that can be attacked/defended/upgraded, lots of stuff to do, crafting, vehicles, weapons, etc. Free to play, game engine made by the same guys that made the Tribes 2 engine. Only one I'm looking forward to in the foreseeable future.

Actually DX:HR is a prequel, not a sequel...

A Link to the Past (SNES) is my favorite, followed closely with the original (NES) one. All others lost my interest by the beginning of the 'tutorial' section. (the beginning part of the game that tries to show you what to do in the rest of the game)

Ok, bumping from page 2 with this... Deus Ex: Human Revolution Leaked Beta. So good for a 3-hour long section of the campaign that I've been busy with it for the past week, to the exclusion of all other games. Even made a trainer for it if anyone's interested and hasn't already got it from one of the many sites it's now on. (I put it up on 2 sites, now I get links to over 3 dozen when I google it... LOL)

Fuck, shit, piss... Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, eggs, and spam. Can I get another -rep now?

Looking at your karma points I am sure you would be a popular mod on these parts. Right, and he earned those... I earned mine by reversing the +rep...

Ross, please don't neglect Civil Protection...
BTGBullseye replied to Michael Archer's topic in Civil Protection
I don't see any point in worrying about it at all. He'll make what he makes, and we'll all enjoy it. -
Looks good JC.

For every country but the US, probably not until it's been proven. The US has no need to replace it's fleet with aircraft that cost more than quadruple what the current aircraft cost. $38 million for a Grumman F-14D Tomcat. (arguably the best long range interceptor ever) $29-57 million for a McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. (our current all-around fighter/bomber) $14.6/$18.8 million for the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon. (A/B = $14.6m, C/D = $18.8m) $30-35 million for each McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II. (VTOL, rarely if ever used) $11.8 million for the Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II. (I would've thought it cost more) $53.4 million for a Boeing B-52H Stratofortress. (just for a comparison) Why pay tons of money for something we don't really need?

Ah, but that is some of the most relaxed gun control laws, and are only available in certain counties in certain states in the US. Most states and counties still have Sheriffs that can arbitrarily delay giving someone a firearm, and there have been many issues with those Sheriffs putting indefinite delays on all firearm licence applications they receive. I personally want to own an AUG. I think it's a really cool gun, and would be very useful for hunting. Now, to get one (normally ~$5000 from the manufacturer) I have to get permission from my local Sheriff, (who won't like someone having a better gun than him) the state government, (who thinks everyone is going to use them to slaughter people at banks) and the US government. (who now believes me to be a National Security threat, simply because I applied for ownership) Cost of the permits exceed $10000, and the waiting time on average is 10 years or longer. (if you don't get an instant 'no' from the Sheriff or the State) Otherwise, you can't own it. If it can accept a clip of larger than 10 rounds, and/or has automatic/burst fire modes, it is not legal to own the gun without the previously mentioned bullshit. Why does the clip size matter? It shouldn't.

@Doom Shepherd: Same upbringing for me, and I agree 100% with that parenting method.

Not too shitty... Will be outdated in a year or so, but is quite decent for the price.

Disturbed Asylum album intermixed with the Tribes 2 soundtrack.

When you put fluorescent colors under a blacklight, they glow. When you put a goth under a fluorescent light, they die. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

Just got the newest Disturbed album... Going to listen to it while I'm sleeping tonight... Well, this morning really...

I'd build my own version of this: http://www.atvstyle.com/rip-saw-tracked-atv If possible I'd also get one of these: 1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback. Put in a 429 Super Cobra Jet engine, and it's a winner...

I use source version of it, but I don't like the weapon reskins...
