Where do you buy your games?

Recommended Posts

Steam or Gamestop. For vintage (old) games, I typically go to pawn shops, flea markets, and this amazing vintage game store we have locally.

Gamestop usually, but occasionally Edward McKay's Used Books and More. (That's the "and More" part.) I once saw a Gamestop used game with an Ed McKay's sticker on it that had a lower price.

Everytime I buy something from GameStop the seller trys to "upsell" me and ask "Do You Have a Rewards Card" Im like look all I want to do is buy this game, I dont not care about what you think of the game so do not comment on me buying an 8 year old game. All I want to do in the end is make a simple financial transaction that will help both of us. I dont not want to make friends with you just let me buy my game so i can disapper into the darkness.

Usually when I preorder a retail copy it's on Amazon. They've started doing release date shipping on most titles for 99 cents. I've currently got the team ico collection preordered, and the shipping is less than the tax would be if I bought at a store.

I once tried to buy Darkest of Days at Game Stop and had the cashier vocally try to talk me out of buying it.

Do you know who I am?! I'm the man who's gonna burn your store down - with the cards!! I'm gonna get my engineers to build a combustible card that BURNS YOUR STORE DOWN!! -*hack, cough*-

Gamestop for console games, and Steam for PC games. If I want an older game, this gaming center down the street sells them really cheap (I got FFVII for $15). If I can't get a game there or Gamestop, I'll probably buy it off Amazon. Oh, and I recommend the card. It's pretty useful.

Wherever I can. There are multiple stores in which to do so, and sometimes they're cheaper in one store than they are in another.

Gamestop

Best Buy

Wal-Mart

Hastings

Oh and Steam. Occasionally.
