It is time yet again to decide which game was the best of 2012. I will give you 10 options. 3 out of these will be the winners. The poll will run for 14 days and then it will be decided.

So go ahead and vote and please share some thoughts on WHY you want to vote on that game.

Warning: You can NOT revote so pick carefully.

Voted for The Walking Dead. It had a grand story, that didn't f*ck around, great characters and I genuinely cared about what will happen to them. There was no other game in 2012 I was invested more into than this one.

Personally I'm voting Far Cry 3 for how much it offers.

That's a mighty fine game. But I still gotta finish it :)

IM BACK!!!!

and by far Black Mesa

Your actions affect so many others than yourself. You will come to realize what little choice you have. You will do what you must, become what you must, or others will pay for your cowardice. You WILL accept the gifts offered to you.

yep it seems so.

I voted mass effect 3 just cause I have a buddy who helped on the game a while back and Im a sucker fer developer's who put time into what they do. (not saying the other games dident have dedicated creators, just I personally saw how much time my buddy put into this and how much he cared about it)

also it just came to mind and I haven't taken my pills yet...

What your not crazy too?

Black Mesa, because for the following other options.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Lol no

Mass Effect 3 - It had more problems than the ending.

The Walking Dead - Never played

Far Cry 3 - Never played

Borderlands 2 - All the story improvements made the stagnation of the actual gameplay more apparent.

Planetside 2 - Piece of poop that everyone seems to think does something worth talking about.

X-Com: Enemy Unknown - 8/10 I banged it but Black Mesa was just a different level.

Journey - Never played it but I hear it's all deep and shit so I guess it's cool.

Guild Wars 2 - MMORPG + Me = Yeah no.

I love you, yet can't stand to know you exist.

I chose Black Mesa over The Walking Dead because while TWD emotionally invested me more in the story, (for very good reasons on BM's part) ultimately, BM is a better GAME. TWD has a fantastic story and it's not like it's gameplay is bad, but they're two different genres entirely. And Black Mesa is more the traditional *game* whereas TWD is good at crafting it's story. It's more like an interactive movie, really.

the lack of Assassin's Creed 3 disturbs me.

I guess I'll go with Black Mesa since of all the one's on that list that felt the most polished and fun. Give or take the occasional bug.
