Aside from the hard components of a computer and the BIOS, the Operating System is the most important thing, software-wise. From the old days of DOS and Unix-based systems, to our current days of Windows 7, the Operating System has allowed us to communicate with our computer and allowed us to use it for virtually every application there is.

What OS are you using at the moment?

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate.

It's funny that during Vista's short lifespan, more people used XP than Vista.

Personally, I loved XP. Vista was a headache. 7 is pretty nice though, I like it.

XP.

I fear change...

Linux is pretty cool, too, but it'd just be too much of a pain in the neck to me.

I can respect those who can have full control over it and stuff, but I'm an electrical engineer, not a computer scientist!

Software confuses and enrages me!

And Macs... Don't get me started on Macs...

(Actually, I really don't care. But it's fun to pretend that i do, especially around my Apple fanboy cousin )

I HAVE to blow everything up! It's the only way to prove I'm not CRAZY!

I am currently using Windows 7, but was previously using Windows Vista. I upgraded because it was cheap to do so as a student. I had no problems with Vista, nor have I had any problems with Windows 7. Both worked like a charm.

Feel free to PM me about almost anything and I'll do my best to answer. :)

Yeah, I tried Vista actually and it worked pretty okay for me. But 7 is better.

I can't really vote on one as I run Linux and Windows regularly.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit as well. Bought it on finance since it cost quite a bit.

I started out using Windows 98SE, then Windows 2000 before I moved on to Windows XP. I've never used Vista. Though I used DOS and Windows 3.1 when I was about 3-4 years old.

Windows 7 Starter; I liked XP, but Windows 7 is definitely a great improvement. Hell, I'm using it on a little netbook that I share with my grandmother and it's allot better than my old computer. It's not the fastest, but it's lightning compared to my old laptop.
