A meme is the same as a gene, except its limited to culture instead of species.

Frequent internet reference is twisting this to mean "whims of the interests of 4chan.org" as if it was a representative body of all people who browse the internet. Personally I beg to differ on that site being representative of the entire internet, seeing as more unique users browse the Canadian Broadcasting Corperation News site than all of 4Chan, and there are vastly more popular websites on the internet than either of those combined, that have a much less vocal/much more varied 'society' to them.

Is MLP a meme?

As far as KnowYourMeme is concerned, yes. Empirically, who really cares?

That means eventually no one will care about MLP.

And when he gets to heaven,

To saint Peter he will tell;

One more soldier reporting, sir.

I've served my time in Hell!

Is it me or are the "Anti-Bronies" way to obsessed with Ponies and Bronies. Not judging here, but they seem to bring it up in every thread :/

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

it's kinda the same pitfall as not being religious, but still knowing more about religion than an average religious man does. i guess it's a "know your enemy" type thing. i'm neutral personally, and i don't know shit the show..well shit compared to user, ABG, Blight, you, etc...

They are obsessed with trolling users that have their own likes and dislikes just because they have different opinions.

Anti-Bronies=Trolls

The thing is that the whole "Anti-Bronie" thing is just stupid. Everyone deserves their opinion and his/her opinion should be respected. But "Anti-Bronies" are actively hating on Bronies. There is no reason to. You don't have to like the show, and you are free to post that you dislike it and why. But you should not attack people because of different opinions.

i'm happy with MLP being discussed primarily here, and i don't mind your occasional reaction pic. just with some people it gets a little redundant and it annoys them, so i understand both sides of it.

FGB i swear to god, Google it. type in "internet troll" you'll find one hell of a definition /almost exploding.

Bronies seem provocative, passive-defensive and enjoying themselves.

Anti-Bronies seem invokative, aggressive-offensive and frustrated.

Most others simply wish whoever is shouting loudest would stop.

This is our Mere MLP. By the description of 'mere', I would like to have it mean that it is a description that we all agree upon.

I was thinking, "gonna be a problem trying to watch this in my house" until I realized if anime has taught me anything, there will already be at least 10 uploads of each episode on youtube a day after it's aired, so I guess I shouldn't worry.
