If we do survive for the next 2000 years then I'm sure we would have built space colonies already.

I wish I would live long enough to travel into the deep outer space on a massive starship and explore other planets like tourists explore other countries today.

It will most likely be this: SCP-035 or this: SCP-058 or possibly this: SCP-217

I will probably have a hand in it. My projects, after all.

He just kept talking and talking in one long incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic so that no one had a chance to interrupt it was really quite hypnotic...

Genetic degradation to the point of annihilation.

I doubt there will even be a fertile population in 100 years. And the best part of genetics is that they're hereditary. which of course means that our problems are likely to become our children's problems.

I have no doubt that it will be a war that wipes us out. Humanity will destroy its self over the smallest little differences in belief.

Nuclear war probably

And when he gets to heaven,

To saint Peter he will tell;

One more soldier reporting, sir.

I've served my time in Hell!

And what's about Fallout or Mad Max? A nuclear war would not end our planet I hope.

a real nuclear war has not happened yet we do not know what would happen.

I don't have an answer because ANY of those could happen! The most unlikely probably being evolution competition. Unless Earth starts evolutioning Reapers, I think our guns and bombs can stop 'em.

Unless they're the dreaded...-gulp-

COCKROACHES

They can survive ANYTHING!!

(except Freeman's boot, but I'm 96% sure they survive anyway and fix themselves)

Since death is an inevitability regardless if it means the end of the world for everyone else, or if it's just me, I like having assurance in what happens after the fact.

This is a bit off topic.

I know this is late and all, but I thought about what you said and I have this to answer for your thought.

All men die, not all men really live.

This unlike the assurance theory is a fact.

"When a son is born, the father will go up to the newborn baby, sword in hand; throwing it down, he says, "I shall not leave you with any property: You have only what you can provide with this weapon."
