It is incredibly cold here these days. There was a thin layer of "frosting" on the ground yesterday morning. Where the fuck is the summer? Last year it started over two months earlier and counting. To find a comparable year one needs to go decades into the past.

That knowledge would break the fourth wall. We who played the game know it was amplified but not Freeman. Do you think he would take on stronger enemies like the heavily armoured, hornet-gun wielding alien grunts with a little pistol? I wouldn't. At this point I think that once Freeman regains his memory he will not care about anything else than survival. That particular .357 was his drop weapon, but the next one he picks up will serve a different purpose I hope.

Same reason why I waited a while. But after doing less than 5 minutes of tweaking after upgrading to FF 4 the UI was almost identical to 3.6.x. Refresh and home in their "correct" places, tabs below the address bar and bookmarks bar, and some other minor stuff here and there. Not sure if 3.6 has this feature but in Options I got a checkbox that lets me tell websites I do not want to be tracked. Of course it is unchecked by default.

Photography. I am very interested in learning photography but I lack the camera to make my favourite subject become real; night time, dusk or dawn in a big city, natural setting in the same day periods... The dirt cheap crap I currently got (Or at least used to before it vanished, guess my lame excuse for a human being brother lost it.) runs out of batteries after 2 dozen shots and has ridiculously limited options at best. It was a mistake to not spend maybe three times more in return for a twenty times better product. I guess it disappearing is an excuse to find another one. Chatting with foreign people. It starts out in a text box but a select few friends are truly special and I talk with them over video. Programming. I know a tiny bit of C#. With very, very basic knowledge of objects and voids and a few select functions such as printing command-line messages and doing equations I programmed a simple Hangman game, all "rendered" in the command-line window. It was a very fun learning experience and helped me grasp it better than the projects I did in that one C# course I took in high school. At first my game would have made professional programmers cringe; used 200+ lines of code for a single word problem and the entire code was in the Main(). Before I lost the game to a hard drive crash I had object oriented my code and each word only needed 4 lines of code as I wrote an "engine" that could be fed with variable words and variable number of empty spaces to place letters on. This is definitely my passion and is what I will learn in college if I get in this autumn.

When Freeman meets the first alien grunts I think he will whip out the most powerful weapons he has. While we as players know that they could go down quickly with the amplified damage of Freeman's gear, I think he wouldn't try to use the Glock or even the H&K MP5.

I liked this episode. Not the best but still fairly decent. Freeman was surprisingly calm about the barnacle encounter at the end though, probably still kind of numb after waking up. I wonder, does the time-out mean Freeman regenerated his sanity?

The worst thing about Microsoft (And a lot of big name publishers and developers.) is that they are unable to comprehend the concept of interaction with other people. Players have a lot of feedback and bug reports for every single games but not only is there no sign of anyone listening but the game is left completely unpatched (I am looking at you, Dead Space.) and the many mistakes are repeated in the sequels. Microsoft could actually make GfWL not suck more than a vacuum cleaner by actually LISTENING TO THE USERS.

It's a bargain bin purchase at best for me. Although calling this game Prey is like calling STALKER 2 Unreal 3 the sound of the game as its individual entity is intriguing.
