  2. Beyond my cleithrophobia, I believe I also have telephonophobia which is exactly what you think it is: fear of telephones. I get anxiety, I start sweating, and my heart races whenever I have to cold call someone on the telephone. Or when someone calls me out of the blue. I knew I disliked making telephone calls but my telephonophobia came to the fore when a temp agency placed me in a job at a telemarketing company making cold calls for potential customers. During the training session, I was only calling the team lead but my heart began racing something awful, I began sweating and I began to feel extremely nauseous. I had to rush to the bathroom for fear of vomiting. This came on all of the sudden and I told the team lead that I had to go home. They accepted it and as soon as I got out of the building and knew I wouldn't be making calls, I suddenly felt 100% better. I called the company (the anxiety returned!) and told them what had happened and they said that I'm not the first and that they would find someone else. I nearly collapsed when I got onto the bus ride home. Even today, I can't cold call people without nearly fainting. I don't know what it is.
  3. Going through the video now and typing up the subtitles. Ross makes mention that he thought that astronauts were "some of the most well-rounded people on the planet" and need to be in "fantastic physical and mental condition". There's a real life story that throws a monkey-wrench in this however, and that's the story of Lisa Nowak, NASA astronaut who logged nearly 13 days in space. Nowak divorced her husband and began to become romantically involved with William Oefelein, another astronaut, who had also been divorced. However, after two years, Oefelein gradually broke off his relationship with Nowak and began to see Colleen Shipman, an engineer at the 45th Space Wing of the US Air Force, supposedly a friendship. On February 4-5, 2007, Nowak drove from Houston to Orlando International Airport with supplies including rubber tubing and plastic garbage bags (among other items). When Shipman arrived at the airport, Nowak followed her to her car. When Shipman was inside her car, Nowak knocked on the window and requested a ride, then began crying. When Shipman rolled down her window, Nowak pepper sprayed Shipman and Shipman drove off to the parking lot booth and contacted police. Nowak was attempting to kidnap and injure Shipman, but was unsuccessful. Nowak was arrested and held without bail. After her arraignment, she was to be released on a $15.5k bond, had to wear a tracking device, and could not contact Shipman, but was then charged with attempted first degree murder and her bail was dropped. Following a second arraignment, Nowak was released on $10k bail. She was eventually separated on an "other than honorable" discharge from the US Navy following a demotion. This is the only one I know about but I'm willing to bet there are others. Not all astronauts are "well-rounded" and in "fantastic...mental condition".
  4. I wouldn't worry too much about side(s) you can't see in the logo images. For the thing I'm making, you won't be seeing them anyway. Just throw on something to contain the barn so that light won't leak in (unless you want it to--a hole for a shaft of light to appear through might work but don't sweat it if you don't want to put a hole in the roof). Go ahead and wing it for the stuff you can't see in the image. I would say that the corn/grain silos you see are identical, and the other "side" of the barn that you can't see is identical to the side you can see. The update looks perfect so far! If you'd like, we can take this to PM or email so that we don't keep spamming this thread.
  5. Don't worry about the turnaround time. Thanks for what you have done so far! The only thing I can see right now is that the shape of the roof feels off. From what I can tell, the roof has four separate planes. The roof meets in the middle, then on each side of the gable, there is a bend, creating four different planes. Also, the roof has a bit of an overhang. See this for my suggested edits: http://i.imgur.com/DmPrvaA.png I can't wait to see this in 3D.

  9. Yeah, I understand that there'll be some issues converting those flat graphics to 3D. Do what you can and I thank you for any work you do!
  10. I don't. Sorry.
  11. Yes, go ahead. I would like for them to look as close to the graphic at the top of the site as possible.
  12. To be clear, these models are not going to be used in "the movie" itself. It's just a project I'm going to be doing for the site itself.
  13. Also, you can post your questions for the May video chat here or you can post your questions to [email protected] and I'll be sure Ross gets them. If you post a question for Ross for the May video chat here, please put "Question for Ross" at the top of the post so I can differentiate them from other posts about what Ross said in the April video chat. Thanks!
  14. I can take pretty standard files, such as .obj, .3ds, .lwo, .dxf, .dae, .goz, .ma, .mb, and .blend. Will they have textures? If not, I can still probably work with it as long as they have sane UV maps. Thanks so much!

  16. Hey, folks! I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds here but I'm seriously considering making some kind of 3D animation for Accursed Farms, but I'm in need of some assistance in that respect. Since the Internet has failed me in finding free or cheap models that I can use, I am putting out a call to any 3D modeler here. It may or may not relate to "The Movie!"; I'd have to see how everything works out. What I'm looking for are 3D models of the Accursed Farms barn, grain silos, the scarecrow, and potentially the cow (but the cow could be left out). Nothing I can find on the Internet suits this purpose. I can get close to how they visually look on the website, but not exactly. So, would any 3D modeler like to try their hand at this? If so, either respond here on the forums or you can PM me about it. Thanks in advance to anyone who wants to try this out!

  20. Well the thing is, I think there should be questions saved for moments where there's nothing interesting in the chat. I understand when Ross skips questions in the chat that he has talked about before, or that he needs time to think about (that's why I sent my most interesting questions ahead of time last time btw), or that are simply not worth answering. But if it's a good question, like one I had about the turn they gave to the story in the LoK sequels, and what would he think silicon knights' direction had they developed it. So what I think would work better is if you screen the questions people send so that you take out non relevant ones, and the ones that are, you can give them to Ross so he can answer the best ones and if towards the end of the chat, as it has happened, questions run dry then he can maybe answer 1 or 2 more while people submit others. I just thought it was frustrating seeing questions I thought were interesting get past over because there wasn't enough time, then see Ross spending minutes in silence because people didn't ask interesting stuff. As I said before, far from disrespect or bad criticism, I just want to give my thoughts and hopefully help everyone involved have a much better experience in the videchats. I do appreciate the work and time that goes into them, and since I have been asking for this for ages I just want to see it be as good as it can be. If you want, please repost your unanswered question(s) to [email protected] and I'll be sure Ross sees everything you post this time. Again, my apologies.

  22. Speaking of which, Microsoft released an AI Twitter bot yesterday (March 23, 2016) and had to quickly take it back down afterwards when it began spewing out hundreds of Twitter messages, saying things like denying the Holocaust, praising Hitler, and so on.
