  1. Considering that I can't learn in any public school setting, I'd say anywhere that has the option of unrestricted homeschooling has the best. As for the general populace, currently South Korea tops the charts, but I think that's mainly because of the culture there. No clue really, as each country needs a different approach that is tailored to their culture. Right now the USA culture is that the people in charge (ie, the president, the government, your boss, the teachers, etc.) know more than everyone else; anyone who claims to be an expert, is; science can explain everything right now, and anything it can't is either a hoax or someone not looking at it like a scientist/logically; that the government should be allowed to regulate every aspect of our lives, because they know better than we do what is best for us; despite every politician lying constantly, we should believe them when they say they aren't destroying the country when they do things that violate the US constitution; that because it passed the House and Senate, a bill can't possibly violate the US constitution; and that we are the most powerful, most free, and best country in the world. Right now, there is no school system that I can think of that will work well, at least until a few of these idiotic culturally instilled ideas are removed. Sorry, got into a bit of a rant about US culture, but it is applicable.
  2. You can't use Paraniod the song in this thread, Pastor. You're just being Paranoid.
  3. My eyes. Result, my right eye in left socket, and vice versa. My right eye is slightly better for close range vision, (20/25) and my left is better for range. (20/15) I've already trained my brain to interpret the images separately, which prevents me from successfully using anaglyph and most other 3D technologies. (shutter frames don't work very well unless it's a 120Hz feed to each eye, [extremely expensive to get] but polarized seems to work decently)
  4. viewtopic.php?f=21&t=3&start=540 Just thought I'd let you know. (this was the content of the PMs I sent to the site admins)
  5. Banned for being right.
  6. Sounds good. I'll also take the role of Sheriff, with the mods as my deputies.
  7. dc Talk - Jesus Freak album, excluding the second track (Colored People) because it somehow got completely destroyed. (there's a completely clear streak on a section of the disk, and it is only on track 2 exclusively but also completely covering it)
  8. ROFL! I can scream, but it's not really as powerful as my standard yelling. (I project enough that I have been able to be understood clearly at over a mile on a quiet & calm day)
  9. Headpalm.
  10. That's OK, I just linked the thread to every admin for the site, (subject: Major forum bugs.) so I should hear something by the end of the week.
  11. There's always a cause... It's better to listen to those vibes when they're that strong than it is to try and ignore them. Usually you avoid major problems when you do. OT: Feeling stressed for no apparent reason.
  12. I'll link the forum improvements thread to the admins, just in case they forgot about it again.
  13. I going to be an idiot for a second. I like Modern Warfare 2! I am done being idiot, and dislike MW2/MW3 again.
  14. Lowest I can do is around A2.
  15. As I said... It entirely depends on the country. (and state)
  16. The problem is that people are starting to think that a psych eval should be made for anyone that wants to carry a gun, and they point to incidents like this as evidence supporting the need for it. Police officers get screened already. Psych screening is useless. Anyone with half a brain can fool the best psych eval to either make them look like a psychopath or a model citizen. The big issue isn't that people have guns, but that people exist. This condition can be removed, so gun crime and other firearm incidents will continue to occur. Changing laws will never fix the problem, only complete obliteration of the human race. I would like to see mandatory firearm training for grade school children. If they know how to properly use a gun, there will be far fewer accidents. This does not mean they would be given a gun, just be trained in their safety.
  17. Talking about education, you have to take into account that every country and even state have different schooling styles, and some even have multiple styles. I personally am incapable of learning in a standard public schooling system in the USA... If I hadn't been allowed to be homeschooled, I wouldn't have been able to get a GED, much less score the highest in the state for the ACT and SAT. School isn't the only place or way to learn. As for the stress... Consider what happened to me, and then decide if school can be such a massively stressful place. I was bullied for 2 years straight by the son of the district BoD chairman, and the principal blamed me for everything instead of that kid, because he thought that he would get fired if he blamed the actual culprit. It took a new teacher (the first male teacher in over 40 years at that school) to get an honest recounting of who started the fights, and what happened during them. It's extremely uncommon for this to occur. (the teacher coming in and fixing the situation, not the protected bullying, which is extremely common) Stress rarely comes from the schoolwork itself... Usually it's the people, or the teachers that cause it. As for the schedules, especially comparing to work schedules... I have never even heard of a job that requires you to clock in at 7AM... Plenty at 5/6/8/9 and MANY after noon, but never at 7. (7am is the most common hour for schools in the USA) Jobs have a large range of possible schedules, so employees can choose, schools do not. Schools in the USA also let out the kids at 3PM, (or 3:30 in some states) so their schedules can never line up with their parent's schedules properly. Over all, the scheduling of the schools is moronic. Make them 8 to 5, just like the most common work hours in every country that has an 8-hour workday, instead of this crap schedule. I know that my 2 years of public school were spent sleeping on the way to the school, and possibly during the first few hours of school because of the crappy schedule. (when homeschooled, I got up at 8 with my parents, and never had trouble staying awake after that)
  18. Wolfenstein: The New Order Quite fun compared to most WWII extrapolation games. (other where some other event occurred to change everything, and shows somewhere in the future of the altered reality)
  19. Beethoven. I mean seriously, who wouldn't want to go see a deaf zombie rocking out to the original version of heavy metal while wearing a tux? If you never had to sleep again? (you could still get exhausted or tired, but never sleepy)
  20. Allergies.
  21. 'always playing' song
  22. Everyone is actually paranoid, Ninja. You're just being paranoid.
  23. Banned for not updating your avatar despite not being able to change anything for your account.
  24. THE COMBO, IT BROKE.] It actually didn't, I was just playing something else at the time, with the 'always playing' song entertaining some of the others in my head. OT: Nothing but the 'always playing' song in the back of my head, along with the theme to Battlestar Galactica (1978).
