Granted. It is a 5' cube with no windows or doors, made of reinforced concrete, and you're stuck inside it. (read it again, the old testament is basically just a historical book so you can see where it originated, the new testament is where the ideals come from) The Torah and Qur'an are derivatives of the old testament, and were originally made by a guy that disliked the Jews. The book of Mormon isn't really related to anything, much less something that should be lumped together with the other you mentioned. OT: Waiting for my brother to get here.

And yet for the past several hundred years the Catholic church has been looking for other life in the universe. There is absolutely nothing in the bible that says there isn't be life on other planets. Very possible, but I personally think that there will always be more tech levels to research. Right now the limiting factor is government and financing, sometimes time, but I doubt that even light-speed can withstand our progress barring xk-class end-of-the-world scenarios.
