He's probly thinking of the old and very limited description of "undead". Unfortunately most people think that it started as them being "undead", but in reality it was a theory about an illness before that...
-
When you put it like that, you almost make it sound like there shouldn't be any exploration or deviation from linear paths in FPS games. No wonder people still cling mercilessly to DooM... I didn't say it, the devs of Black Mesa did. If you're in a REAL military base, or military research facility, there are no superfluous rooms, and everything is clearly labeled... Exits are easy to reach with fairly direct routes... Even with the redesign, they still left as much of the original as they could while having it still make at lest some sense. (like no box smashing room because that would NEVER be made IRL, but the round-about way you have to go through the computer server room is possible)
-
Black Mesa redid everything to make a realistic version of the original Half-Life... No more random pointless, and illogical pathing to go through... "Realistic" weapon sounds were one of the smallest changes that was made. (and I don't get why people think that bad audio adds anything to a game, even relating to nostalgia)

Rogue Legacy... I'm still waiting for my debit card so I can get some of these games... Going to get a handgun, the StarForge founders pack, and a voltage regulator/stabilizer before anything else...
-
If there's any water on the card, it turning into ice would make things worse D; I said fridge, not freezer. It only works if you have a "low moisture" capable fridge, and have the switch for it set to "on".

2220 for the new sounds, 2155 against, and 1665 neutral parties. As I said, I voted for, but with some slight alterations... Neither way will make me stop watching the series, and anyone who would is watching for the wrong reasons.

Ah, see I don't use facebook, and avoid their links when possible... That explains the one... The other doesn't actually reference the Centerfleet game until post #10, thereby nullifying the second one as easily searchable in relation to "Wormhole by Centerfleet". Interestingly, this thread was either at the top of the results, or somewhere on the first page... Those links should help others find it in the future, thank you.

How easily? I can't find it...
-
Rogue Legacy... Very fun, not really a roguelike game though. (damn you spellcheck, "roguelike" IS a word, and so is "spellcheck")
-
Torrented Rogue Legacy, but it's on my list of games to purchase ASAP.
-
Aww... They're so cute!
-
Yeah, Rage was a big letdown for me... I was hoping for a huge open-world, but instead it was a huge semi-rail shooter...
-
I'm currently out of pets at the moment... My last fly died a couple days back... This forced me to vote yes. I like the sounds, if they can be normalized a bit more, and if they can be better synched. I have no issues with the change, I just figure that Freeman finally popped his ears after getting out from underground...
-
Fixed it for you... Just put everything after the "v=", not the entire URL.
-
Deadpool... Not bad for a game obviously designed for a console... (max settings don't drop it below 30 FPS)
-
HL2... Testing something.
-
Yup, though there could be some issues with that in some games, it still looks like fun.
-
Yeah, getting a controller to work the way you want either requires the game to accept the raw input from the analog axis provided by the sticks and the XBOX360's triggers, or drivers that will do the same. Some games just won't allow you to map a controller axis to an axis, (like the left stick to replace the mouse control) and that can't be corrected by any driver. (blame the game programmers for their shitty control options) Also, deadzones on the controllers are impossible to set outside of a very select few games with the MS drivers... (I've loosed quite a few missiles prematurely in H.A.W.X. due to this problem) I still have yet to find a free set that works, but I'll let you know if I find some.
-
HL2... Fixing the GFX config bug that came about with the most recent update...
-
It depends on the drivers you use... The default ones that come from MS don't do a very good job at displaying the capabilities of the controllers when plugged into a PC.

XBOX and PS3 controllers can be plugged into a PC and used identically to the console usage... Why does nobody seem to know this? (I admit analog WASD would be interesting though)
-
Glad to be of assistance.

No PC version, no play for me. Sounds like it would be fun though... The way I see it, devs want to develop for consoles so they can use the limitations of the console as an excuse for not doing what they should have when making the game, and the publishers want it because they can milk a lot more money out of each copy of the game. MW3 is STILL $50 when it's on sale, same as the Angry Birds Trilogy that you can get on it's native Android for $5! (even Guitar Hero: Metallica is that price, and it came out in 2009!)

True, but for all of it's downfalls, it still did better than most expected. Unfortunately Human Revolution also had similar downfalls, but at least they weren't as expansive as they were in Invisible War. (I'd actually like to see a remake of IW in the HR GFX engine)
