Lost Coast isn't even canon, it's just an extra level Valve decided not to put in Half Life 2. The only reason why he could would be some kind of dream sequence, but even then, highly unlikely.

That's because he doesn't write anything. Oh yeah he may have jokes in mind, but when things spontaneously happen (like a grenade being thrown in his face for example) he just goes from whatever ramblings he was talking about to screaming. Plus, he takes A LOT of liberties with realism. Like the grenade thing, one time he was in an air vent and a grenade blew up not even feet away and all he had to say was, "Ow." Call me old fashioned, but I'd like to see some semblance of reality in these mind series, which is why I don't watch any stupid ones were fifteen year olds are playing soldiers or theoretical physicists.

I still think watching him try to piece together his memory while still complaining about other things going on during these boring parts is fine. Otherwise, what else is he gonna talk about? "Yeah I passed the same dull gray wall...again. Oh look! There's that fence I walked past...AGAIN."

I don't. I wouldn't mind seeing Freeman try to piece things together during these next couple 'boring' episodes.

He'll probably try to negotiate with it because he's 'good with animals' and when that fails, kicks it's ass and says he did that for it's own good because it was 'misbehaving'. Then, I guess he'd go on a ramble about opening his own zoo filled with alien creatures, making sure to include a no money back guarantee in case one of the kids get eaten. They entered at their own risk.

Wierd that Freeman says he doesn't like liars, when in one of the earlier episodes he said he's a pretty good one. Hm, oh well.

I like how when right after Freeman says, "I don't like the desert." and hits the Headcrab, he trips and falls in the water. He must have been hit PRETTY hard in the head to be able to lose balance like that. Then again, hitting Headcrabs are supposed to be pretty heavy.

I guess the only thing we can assume then is, they escape somehow. We probably won't ever see it in a video but, whatever. I'm fine with that.
