if you played AC3, you already did- remember Haytham? 1. Make a great character which you grow to like almost instantly 2. 3. ??? 4. Profit i do agree with that. Haytham was mostly nice character, even as old and cruel templar. Though to be fair, there were several hints that he was templar. Connor... i would say that this character was small failure- not complete or big though (as there were several aspects that made him actually plausible- he wasnt idealistic, but he was bit on the dumb side truth be told). liked Haytham's cameo in ac4 though

fixed your quote for you Luckily Ubisoft seems to be more than willing to show "bad guys" as in fact good guys. So i think that IF we get to see ww2 era AC, we might get german assassin who officially could be in ranks of nazi army. Good spots for AC in ww2 era Europe in respect, that i could slaughter both nazis and soviets, would be (starting from the north) Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine. Finland could be included in sidemission, but in terms of nazis vs soviets, its not so good area. Actually i do think it will come eventually, as it is mentioned in official ac canon, that leaders of major nations in ww2 staged it. Mussolini probably used apple of eden or similar artifact, Hitler was killed after he killed his double and left his bunker. This idea could be expanded to point of Stalin's death.

why the hell everyone hate Desmond so much? only thing i dislike about his story is that when he had first decent character development in game, he was killed. But about ww2- im frankly quite tired of ww2 games being set to more famous battles. Its like very huge portion of the ww2 hadnt happen. Also, nazis are frankly overcriminalized. Before you come calling me a nazi, hear me out- most soldiers were not involved in war crimes and yet we are given impression that nazi soldier= always evil sadistic bastard (THAT is what i call overcriminalizing, as large portion of soldiers were in german uniform against their will). However, i dont even try to deny or justify these people who DID commit war crimes or "simply" crimes- who were still large in quantity. i would like to stress that, that I DO NOT approve nazi crimes- i despise people who did those But why not also let ww2 era assassin fight against soviets? its untold story that soviets were in fact bigger criminals than nazis (again, no justification towards nazis- NOTHING is going to make their crimes disappear). Its bit too stereotypic that soviets were "innocent"... Its often forgotten that they aided nazis at start of the war, invading Poland from east. But back to ww2 fronts- Poland is good alternative, but main thing i seriously dont want to happen- i dont want to see battle of stalingrad or d-day. 2 most overplayed battles.

Carmageddon: Reincarnation and Carmageddon classic
Meelis13 replied to Meelis13's topic in Gaming in general
how is the original game? Id love to get it from GOG.com I got Tyrian 2000 from there because of Ross one advice: get it. Its probably even more violent than GTA, but its a bloody great game even by todays standards. i remember playing hacked version (read: where all upgrades and cars were unlocked)- that was epic. -
I applaud you for this fine april fools joke. Though keep in mind- best april fools joke is the one that everyone expects to be fake, but is actually true. For example, i remember that few years ago, yellow media in Estonia got quite a nice story when some very famous singer (i do mean world famous singer, among very top, cant remember who though) visited Tallinn for shopping... on 1st april. nobody believed it, but it actually turned out to be true. and no, im not making april fools story here- it really happened.

actually i have rather fair idea how secure it is. You'd need seriously stupid user who clicks every link he or she sees or some very determined hacker to get into your account within span of few years- and by then you have been forced to change pass anyhow. im not saying its uncrackable, but its just not worth the time and/or money spent on trying to crack someones account with these things, unless you seriously want to screw that person over.
-
actually you are wrong here. In here (Estonia), we have 4 ways to log in a bank- in my case i use only 3 ways. 1- ID card (every estonian is obliged to have id card. we can use it to do various tasks online, including VOTING in elections- Estonia was first country in the world to elect goverment using e-voting from homes. Also first to M-vote (with mobiles). This kind of thing should show how secure these things are) 2- ID card (with mobile) 3- personal pass+pass card 4- pin calculator (only one i dont use nor its activated for my account) every one of these needs bank id (not to confuse with account number- they are different) and at least the ones i use need personal password as well. so again, i didnt gave anything that i should be concerned about away. besides, even if they would get into my account by some very determined hacking, what they would do? you cant steal from 0 (got account for online dealings that has 0 balance if i dont need to make transaction), can you now?

who said anything about giving out info? at least significant one. You said you bought it from a key store... That means you gave them your complete credit card information. i dont own credit card thus i cant give them credit card info. i payed via bank transfer, so all they see is my account nr and name. good luck finding anything more useful from that than what i share otherwise.

As some of you may already know, Carmageddon: Reincarnation hit steam early access today (27th march). I havent bought it yet myself, but i cant wait to get my hands on it- its CARMAGEDDON after all. Derby with interesting vehicles, tracks and lots and lots of pedestrians to run over. Also the cops. And powerups or PUps. and tons of other stuff. Best of all- its basically remake of original one, not another sequel. To be fair, i found sequels to be boring compared to original madness. So me want this, want this now! Speaking of original- what was your favourite track, vehicle and PUp? mentioning mine- tracks were all good (except one mine one), favourite vehicle was for a time that zapping vehicle, but later- dozer.
-
my guess he didnt drop it, just stored it in his weapon storage mechanism. but it would actually make sense. I am seriously waiting his encounter with niniliath though

well, it aint bad game, but frankly its getting quite repetitive quickly. Definetly worth the price tag, but good game nonethless

bought civ 5 (GOTY edition) with 7.99 euros. yes, legit steam copy. though not from steam itself but a keystore.
-
I have played every version of Civilization since Civ 2... Civ 5 is the absolute worst. Civ 2 is the best for customization and total replayability, and 4 is best overall. i have played every single one (including online version of civ 1 and yes, i have tried out civ 4... for 5 minutes...). civ 1 was the one that frankly got me into the genre. But while civ 5 may be worst, i do say its a great game nonethless. I really must say i enjoy one unit per tile mechanic. Add mods (true, less comprehensive mods than of civ 3 for example) and both large expansions (gods & kings and brave new world), its quite good actually. I definetly enjoy this more than i enjoy civ 3 (frankly thats mostly because of graphics... i seriously hate civ 3 graphics, i dont know why- i aint picky about graphics).

i liked defending sieges. when i had old and weak pc, i tried campaign too and did quite well, but couldnt get past assault on pig's fortress
-
*Civ 4 (i have and i like civ 5, but as i have understood, civ 4 resembles more of civ 3 gameplay, so i want it) *Assassin's Creed Unity *DayZ standalone *Carmageddon- reincarnation (one of my childhood favourite games) *Fifa world cup 2014 (but PC version! these damn nutjobs.. keeping pc folk without world cup game for 8 years... no excuse naturally... but hey, what else do you expect from EA...) *Splinter cell blacklist *Grand Theft Auto 5 (again, PC- i seriously hate consoles. Luckily this game actually has real chance of coming to pc quite soon)

Well, what did you expect? Of course all big game developers listen to Ross (except EA) . Obviously, that was in development before that RGD episode, but it indeed feels like it came at exactly the right moment frankly i consider Ubisoft as one of the user-friendliest big gaming companies currently. and yeah, it was in works for 3 years by looks of it. Also i have heard that there might be other unannounced AC in works.. for me, a history fan, its like donuts to Homer Simpson.
-
Ross- bit off topic, but i tought you like to know. In one RGD episode you mentioned lack of french revolution games pre-napoleon. Well, new Assassin's creed game has just been announced (named "unity") and by looks of it, it takes place during french revolution.
-
Ross, just being curious- how many episodes more you think will be until end of Half-life? And i do hope you plan to continue this to HL2

I haven't heard about any Polish space exploration program... but I don't have a TV What do you mean? that was reference to popular stereotypic comic series known as Polandball this seems to be reference to this particular comic: and Estonia can get into space *semi-evil laugh* if you want to read more, here is reddit page http://www.reddit.com/r/polandball/ Also, if you like stereotypical laughter, you may also want to look for Scandinavia and the World comic series- http://satwcomic.com/well (random example) or if you like anime, hetalia
