I know this is late and at the wrong time. But just think! Like the windows 7 thread. Discuss

It would be interesting though, no? Just take out the stupid character models and possibly even the weapons models (even though they do look pretty cool) and the soundtrack, and you're left with sweet graphicy goodness. But then again, the fans will probably experience vertigo from going from old 90's graphics, to newer 2000 graphics. Hell they'd probably experience that from using the original game's too. lol

No, just like how he's not using the HD pack for HL:S.

i was talking about when he is done with the first half-life

and when he doses half-life 2

Not "when", Maxbun. If.

If hypothetically the cinematic mod is compatible with Half-Life 2 or even necessary for it, or hypothetically Ross Scott can be arsed to do a new FM series once he is done with HL1.

I have the perfect comeback. A Spaz-12.

Um, it's a mod for Half Life 2 that ups the graphics for said game. I'm pretty sure they're compatible. And mods are never 'necessary' they're just fun to have. And, Ross said that as long as the fans want it he'll do it. It's not so much that we have to convince him, we just have to show interest.

Well I have no interest in it. Vanilla game would be the best IMO

Minus the weapon/player models and the soundtrack, (very easy to remove) it is vanilla. High rez textures and better timing for level transitions, but for all practical purposes it is the vanilla game.

I wonder if Ross will ever create a mod based on his work once he's done (as you heard me say before), it's worth a post I guess. ;)

I just... I don't even...

It has been posted before, and no, it was not worth it. Just use the damn command prompt.

I have. And believe me, half the stuff on it is not what Ross uses (SDK anyone) and I have no training with the SDK.

I just... I don't even...

Hm, this I did not know...apart from the invisible ladder pipe thing (which, the first time I ever got to that part in the actual game I tried that and died a horrible death) But for the most part, his weapon damage and noclip and all that are handled via command prompt. What do you know of that he uses SDK?

That was just another use of noclip mode.

Umm... He uses the SDK for Civil Protection, not Freeman's Mind.

I have the perfect comeback. A Spaz-12.

I don't know then...I know there was some kind of discussion about that though.
