Well say what you mean next time, because what you said was you've never heard of an OS getting close to mainstream. Also, android and iOS run on tablets, too, which some consider to be personal computers in a more general sense.

"I mean pretty much everyone uses either Windows, OSX or(for the more techy people) some Linux based OS."

"pretty much everyone uses" = mainstream

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I degraded to a Windows XP.

Did you downgrade because you wanted to or because you had to? What were you on before?

Feel free to PM me about almost anything and I'll do my best to answer. :)

I degraded because my old also not so good Windows Vista computer got completely destroyed by a virus, but yeah I downgraded because I had to. I'm on an aging upgraded laptop right now.

Yes, because otherwise you'd have no idea what was behind them and be totally distraught.

Well, of course, what else are toolbars for except seeing a blurry replica of your wallpaper? Shit gets scary when I can't see the button half inch of my desktop.

What most people don't realize is that there's a scary .png of Balmer's face behind the XP toolbars...

Anyway, scary, balding-men aside, I'm addicted to virtual box lately and have been playing around with Linux distros. I've actually taken a liking to Ubuntu's Unity interface, which would surprise people who know me. Although, Mint's interface is decent, too, more like what most Windows-natives are used to.

Ubuntu is very similar to Windows in my experience, but in the minimal version (Like mini-windows) also my brother carries around an Ubuntu OS to hack other computers... The main problem are drivers.

And even that problem isn't all that big these days, at least compared to even 2 years ago. Linux's biggest hindrance is its gaming library, but soon even that won't be that bad.
