More Game Dungeon! Here's a game I knew I would have to cover at some point. It's a shorter episode, but it's for a shorter game, I'm still pleased with how it came out. I want to say this episode is almost half-educational; my mind kept sparking while playing for changes or additions this game needed for better accuracy. If after watching this video, you find that it changes your life, please let me know a few years down the line.

Short but sweet.

I think, combine Cult Tycoon with Caeser III/Simcity and the Democracy games, and you'd get the game you're looking for. I guess it depends how complex and involved you want the gameplay to be.

Games like these are what I hope to do in the future once I can secure a good enough income that I can make things for fun. Silly, but thought out.

I also like how the ROBERT Sentry is literally an untextured Unity sphere primitive that floats around XD. I like this kind of forward thinking.

"Research"

That line got me good

fantastic video, Ross - I think the length of video fit the game quite well. I enjoy that you don't keep a length quota or anything like that, but rather make the videos as long as you feel like you have things to say. Keep it up!

It concerns me how much thought you've put into the proper way to run a cult.

In what way? I've thought of cool ways to run a cult... MANDATORY GAMING SESSIONS!!!

Brother, do you not yet know the great blessings and teachings of the Ross Scott?

I didn't think a game like this existed, although there are walking simulators, so I shouldn't be surprised. To be honest, this is amazing as far as a "simulator" game goes, but not great as far as Tycoons go. It has potential, I'll give it that.

Great episode as always, Ross, but I am curious as to how you know so much about cults.

In the words of LGR:

"Tycoon, its a suffix that when attached to the end of a name is about as useful as 'Simulator'."

I always pretended I was a cult leader in Master of Magic. Ironically life magic was best suited to it. Stream of life = heroin in the water supply, gimme all your money. You also got to summon the chosen one and invoke a crusade. Then it was just a matter of sending your fanatic lionhearted halfling slingers to go forth and kill ancient dragons in one hit.

I was trying to speculate about the next video, and I'm having a heck of a time thinking of games with incredibly bad names, especially if one excludes console titles due to the game dungeons being PC heavy. Weird names, sure. Stupid and horrible names, not so much.

Tongue of the Fatman shows up on a lot of bad name lists, but I almost think it's so bad it's good. There ARE plenty of foolish names. Like, Meat Puppet isn't a terrible name in and of itself, but naming your game similarly to a long running rock band is pretty bad decision making. "Hey, wanna play my game? It's called Stone Temple Pirates"

I would totally play a game called Stone Temple Pirates.

The only one that really came to my mind was Gorky 17/Odium. Those are two awful names for the same not-awful game. To be fair it might've sounded different to the developers. They were from Poland. Hay, wait a minute...

I agree with the YouTube comments. Let's all start a cult. Ross is the leader and we're the followers. All hail The Almighty Ross!

Wow, holy shit, this is the first game from the dungeon that I've actually played. This game was pretty hard to find if you didn't know the name.

So will there be sacrificing to the dark gods in this cult?

In the summer we sacrifice Kool Aid and gummy bears and in the winter we go with gingerbread houses (put them in a pile and burn) + dancing the crowbar dance in the middle of a forest; free wine and beer ;)

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I call heresy!

The only true followers are the Children of the Scott! Grab the pitchforks! Expunge the heretics!

I have to give you a lot of credit, Ross - even as a non-gamer I find these GD-episodes well worth a watch.

What's the matter with you people, all venerating Ross Scott as if he was the deity? Everyone knows he's but the humble prophet and bringer of pixelated and vector graphic truth! Repent ye sinners and adhere to the Rossy Messengers!
