Getting up and preparing for work. Payday.

I'm sitting here with my fully loaded gun, a round in the chamber, in the nude... How many expect that out of me?

They do keep it off of you though, and you can always share with others... Do you know of a way to stop the rain from falling permanently? [EDIT] Just in case anyone is wondering, this is my pistol... The Ruger SR40c. Has 9 round magazines (pictured) and 15 round mags. (the underslung Crimson Trace® laser costs $150, and is the cheapest one that fits a Picatinny rail) Fires Smith & Wesson .40 caliber rounds, currently loaded with 135 grain COR®BON high-velocity JHP. (Jacketed Hollow Point, 1325fps - 526 ft/lbs) FMJ can go through Kevlar armor and still have plenty of killing force on the other side. The hollow points have the same performance as the larger .45 ACP hollow points, yet more will fit in a magazine. The only actual firing it has seen is 100 rounds of 165-grain Federal® Range.Target.Practice, and 100 rounds of PMC® Bronze 165-grain FMJ-FP, (Full Metal Jacket - Flat Point) all used for initial break-in. I have seen videos of guys using the 9mm version of this to beat out Glocks in competitions, and these are 1/3 the price. [EDIT] Switched out the 135 grain COR®BON JHP for 180gr Remington® UMC FMJ-SWC.

About a month ago I was unable to connect to the internet through wi-fi, (router issues) so I used a wired connection. Yesterday I found the wired connection stopped working, and the wi-fi is functional... Next they'll both cease to function, but I'll still have internet access.

It's not... The crime rates used to be higher across the board, except in DC... (yes, before the listed dates in that source) 36 states have Concealed Carry laws, those are the 36 with the lowest crime in the US, Utah and Texas used to be in the worst 5, now they aren't... Going by you analogy, you're claiming that my side would be among those claiming the rain is caused by umbrellas, but I would say that's your side mostly. The rain makes people want umbrellas for protection, but they can still be used to beat someone or stab them if you're unscrupulous. (provided they have the right tip, it can be used for stabbing, and has)

Granted, but someone kills you before you can turn on godmode. I wish page 42 of this thread would last forever...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate Go down to the "Country subdivisions" section, and expand the United States stuff... The states/territories that have the highest homicide rates are also the ones with the strictest gun control laws... Oh, and that notice at the top that the rates don't match the cited source, they did 8 months ago before the source changed them, and the change was by a very small amount, and on on years after 2005. (I could reference that this is a smudging of the numbers intended to favor the Obama administration, but this isn't the topic for that)

Relationship between the Xenians and Combine
BTGBullseye replied to RandomGuy's topic in Valve Games / Valve Stuff
From the way it looked, your assertions seem quite logical. As for the controllers/Nihilanth, I think the Nihilanth was the last of the original controller species. My guess is that the HL2 controllers are a race of clones, and the Nihilanth was trying to end them. (or just be more powerful, or to escape them, or...) -

Battlefield 3... I always seem to get stuck on the team that has players that want to play purely "sit back and watch others die" until we're less than a minute from losing... Just another reason why I hate the game. (I am still going to get to max level though, just like I did with all the rest of the Battlefield games)

Freeman's Mind Announcer Pack Trailer (for DOTA 2)

Actually, it's as close as it can get when you take into account the other enemies in the game. A headcrab should NEVER take more than 1 hit to kill, (even an FMJ would have a hard time not disabling one) and that was where Ross put it. It just happens to be that the rest of the enemies that we've seen in the game are weaker than they should be by about 40%.

I'll let someone else try and deal with the other stuff you asked about, I'll cover these... He actually mentions just how implausible that is when he ends up getting a tank to explode by shooting it with an MP5... Watch the newest episodes to see it. The thing is, there are real grenade rounds right now that could theoretically destroy a tank. Honestly not likely, even if they were unarmored and were hollow-point rounds. It usually takes 3-4 rounds of 9mm hollow-point to stop the shooting if you're not hit in the brain-stem. 2-3 if you're using .40 or .45 caliber rounds. If the H.E.C.U. guys are armored (which is not specified either way by Valve) then there would have to be significantly more rounds (AP rounds of course, since regular and hollow-point will just feel like high velocity paintball on bare skin through standard armor) into each soldier to get them to stop... 15 or more unless you're hitting vital organs and waiting for bleedout. (or of course the brain-stem) If you're talking standard military plate armor, 9mm rounds can't penetrate, no matter what kind they are, and at most the enemy will get the wind knocked out of them. Video games are nowhere near real life, and anyone who thinks they are needs a swift kick to the head with a .50 BMG round.

Granted, but the rest of us experience it at normal speed, and draw all kinds of weird things on your body while it's frozen... With tattoo needles... I wish I had more money.

None of that here! Besides, you were 1848th. On topic, same as before...

Well, that will disqualify most people in the developed world unless you have a cunning plan for installing NRA enthusiasts into every ministerial post in Europe which has something to do with guns. I'm not sure that will be a wise or a well-received strategy. Do you feel that someone who has never had an injury in their life should have total control over all forms of pain medications? Do you think that people who have always had there own way should be the ones taking away other's choices through legislation? Do you think that people without experience should be telling people with experience what to do? (this applies to everything, not just guns) Her family is clearly an example of guns being put in the wrong hands. I guess she realises it but is overwhelmed by guilt and is blaming herself to an exclusion of everything else. If you can't keep your gun safely away from a 3-year old you should not be allowed to keep a gun. Except she doesn't really blame herself either... She was at work, and a friend of her husband's was watching the child. Her life didn't end, "she though it would for the first month or so) and she went on with life. She has a 2 year old now, and is going to teach her gun safety as soon as she is able to absorb it. (usually around age 3 is a good start according to her) Well, she is from one f*cked up neighbourhood it seems... My response to her position is that my opinion still stands: gun distribution must be stringently controlled but I don't support total ban on them. Gun distribution can't BE controlled when the the distribution is illegal in the first place. Why don't you understand that?

Freeman's Mind Announcer Pack Trailer (for DOTA 2)
BTGBullseye replied to Ross Scott's topic in Freeman's Mind
I did the vote up before, and it didn't show a favorite button before, but I clicked it now... Near as I can tell, there have been no down votes, and over 1800 people besides me have it favorited. Epic trailer, love the lines, will buy when it's available. Someone above said something about a HL3 overlay that they hope for, well I don't know if Valve will do it, but I hope they at least throw your voice in there somewhere...
