@AP_Pastor - ah, that was nicely dark and atmospheric! I quite enjoyed it! @Jeb - sorry it took so long! I could have done it way faster, but I just didn't have the time, with work and what not... But, well, finally I've finished working on Feathers! Here it is in MIDI... And the SoundCloud rendered version is here: Hope it was worth the wait! Regards Feathers_f_modf_balance_sndfont_b.zip

You are missing the point - that the majority of "terrorists" are always homegrown. You can close the borders all you like and you will only increase the number of supporters for the terrorists' cause among your own population. Terrorists don't come from outside - as your own example shows. In the Paris attack - 1 (one) attacker, possibly, maybe, came as a refugee. Even if they'll find more, the majority will still be Europeans. Ideas come from outside, though. And if you have enough disgruntled potential supporters, you increase the probability that there will be some feeble-minded ones who will believe in 72 virgins awaiting them in the Heavens. Well, that's up to you. You can vote for whoever you personally want to at the next elections. No. The problem is that people in Europe don't want to work. But migrants do and they are ready to work for much less than an entitled European would agree to move their arse for. The socio-economic model is the danger that Europe faces, not the migration. Migration is what props the economy up. The migrants are not undercutting you average local benefit-seeker... The migrants are doing the job he refuses to do. If you remove the migrants, the job just won't get done until some local will finally agree to get his hands dirty and do it for the same low amount of money as the migrant. What are the chances of that happening? I honestly don't know if that is now possible... Though, perhaps, if they start bombing Riyadh instead of Raqqa - that just might have some effect Regards -
Ah. I've got to make an announcement... Unfortunately, Jeb will be out of circulation for a few days. She has come down with an infection and is undergoing a treatment in hospital. Will probably be out for a couple of days... She also says she is sorry but I can't see why she should be... Regards

There actually is a "discuss religion and it's impact" thread, here: viewtopic.php?f=55&t=1365&start=60 We can move over there to talk about that... On topic, though - I've been following on the events on the Continent after the Paris attack and I have to say that so far, it seems to be inline with my suspicions. The perps, in their majority, look to be from the second generation of migrants, rather than from the new wave of recent refugees... And I still don't for a second think that these attacks will mean the end of Europe. Germany lost over 10 million in the last war alone and it's back on top. So, no matter how heartless I may sound, it will take more than killing a few hundred people to put Europe down on its knees. Regards -
I don't care if I come across as flattering but I just love your work. Both the design and CGI and your drawings. I went back on this thread and saw your completed DawnStrider ship. It's marvelous. And your dragons are just so nice... But... I've been posting here without showing anything, actually... My bad, sorry. This is my first ever cat - a loooong time ago... Regards

@Jeb - oh, what happened? Had a gate-crashing party last night? No, seriously? @Binky - aw, such a pretty view! Reminded my about some photos I took on Jersey in August... Oh, and that strange thingy on the left - it's an old Nazi observation post. That thing really put me in HL2 mood that evening. Specifically, its Minerva incarnation. Just looking at this beauty here... The whole series is here: http://imgur.com/a/dUqwo Regards

Well, Burma or whatever it's name now is run by militant Buddhists and the Muslim minority there is one of the most oppressed and persecuted peoples in the world... So... No, there aren't any cute religions... Each and every one of them can be twisted and perverted... But they are unavoidable - whether they involve a deity or a deified person or symbol - it is a fact that people always find something to believe in. Once they do, if you touch the subject of their faith - they will bite. A bit like dogs and their chains... Oh, we're probably going off topic with that polygamy thing! Probably a subject for "Discuss your opinion" Hehe... Regards -
Most big banks still run Fortran and Cobol programs on mainframes to this day... The problem is that the systems outlive the people who know them. Once the original programmers retire or die, if the system breaks, the youngsters can't fix it Mmm... Fortran'77... That was fun! Not as much fun as Macro Assembler, though Regards

Ah, thanks! She had her smartphone with her and the internet was working... She was more in the dark than we, though. We were updating her with what we saw and heard on TV as she was sitting in the stadium, waiting for the evacuation. Took her a looong time to get back home afterwards. Regards

Yet, religion is an inegral and unavoidable part of human psyche and if you remove or weaken the established ones too much, that vacuum will be immediately filled with the likes of Scientology, ISIS, or worse... Hmm, I'm kind of sympathetic to polygamy though, can we just have that but without incest and rape? Regards -
Oh, Binky. Giving a cat a shelter on a stormy night? The Universe will count it in your favour in whatever ledger it keeps for all of us for the Judgement Day! Bless your bass-playing little soul! Two of my 3 cats came into my life in a similar fashion - they asked for shelter and stayed forever... I agree, though - a lot of this French flag waving is selfish self-promotion and opportunism, plus a dose of sympathy-porn. Having said that - I am intensely interested in anything factual that appears regarding the perps, their connection, backers etc. I want to know all that to refine my own worldview. Also, one of my distant relatives was on the Stade de France during the attack. She was unharmed but it was a scare for the family. So I have a bit of a personal interest in it all as well... Regards

That makes two of us! I don't think Islam as such should be blamed here and not to forget that most of the gory stuff in all Abrahamic religions is coming from the oldest part of the Books - the Old Testament. The problems always lie in the interpretation of scriptures. In particular, the Wahhabi Islamists' (which is what the current crop of the lunatics are) are, basically, a Satanic cult. It is about time for the civilised world authorities to round up proper Islamic clerics and demand that they publicly and unequivocally denounced that version of Islam as being non-Islamic. Until that happens any "war on terror" will remain futile. So far, the Western governments have been milking opportunistically the threat of these Islamists to justify more power grabs in their own countries (eroding civil liberties and privacy protections of law abiding population) and have done absolutely nothing to counteract the Satanic ideology. This has directly led to the appearance and the success of ISIS and it has to change... Regards -
Agree it will probably be too long for YouTube description... Will also mean that people will have to chose whether they have to scroll down to the description or watch Ross' face With a post on a forum they can have both on their screen(s) at once! But, the times put into a forum post could be linked directly to the relevant video parts. Then the YouTube description can point to the forum post - a bit of a cross promotion... @Jeb - Oh, wow! You've put a lot of work into this! Thank you! Regards

Your main question, that you have to answer to yourself, is whether you would rather have her as your partner or as a colleague. Because work and relationship almost never mix well or for long. If you want her for love - be prepared to make adjustments at work. Maybe even for one of you to change employment. But, be quick with the decision - because by the way you describe the situation, it will soon take assume a life of its own and will leave little or no say in it for you. Once the feelings start - the only way out is through heartbreak. And... don't concern yourself with the well being of her ex. Only think of what's best for you and for her. My 2 cents... Regards

To me it is clear that it is being done on purpose. To remove from the market place an old product that potentially competes with your new product. Basically, to force you to buy a new game by killing off the old one. Especially, if the old one happened to be good. These people who run these corporations should be chained in irons and sent... I don't know... to fight ISIS in Syria? Regards

Well, that's a slightly different matter - not so much help them develop, we should first stop using that whole region as a playground for proxy wars because that's what pushing all those people out. For now, though, the migrants is a fact that isn't going to go away. And, yes, of course, there will be problems with their assimilation. I don't doubt for a second. But these problems won't be much different from dealing with the existing disenfranchised minorities - with all the poverty, gang crime and stuff. And any civilised country must find a way of handling these problems - that's why it can be called civilised. But of course, there won't be a "forced mass suicide of Europe". There will be issues with the second generation of migrants. The children who will be born in Europe but will not be fully accepted by their peers - they will feel they are still outsiders and it will generate resentment. These second generationers are the part of the population that produces "terrorists". But don't fear ISIS sending their army here under the guise of migration. It simply isn't happening and isn't going to happen. Also, I would not generally recommend paying too much attention to the right wing tabloids like the ones you quoted. They are very economical with the truth. Not to say just making things up outright. They pander to the people who want to be scared, and there are plenty of those. They live their mundane lives and they like to blame their misery on somebody else. Some scary monster who is the reason for them not living the dream life they thought was ahead of them in their childhood. And the scarier the monster, the happier they become - because the threat is clear and it's not their fault and there's nothing they can do about it. Regards -
Wasn't LSD supposed to be a truth serum originally? I think it was pretty effective in lowering inhibitions With the little unfortunate side effect of causing trips and hallucinations "Yes, officer, and then I saw the victim being hit in the face by Archangel Azrael hisself, I swear!" Regards

Well, it IS the right wing or, shall I say, the ultra-right wing propaganda and panic mongering, alright. Yes, there are issues with assimilating such a large number of migrants but Europe is not in danger of being taken over by them. That argument about the migrants having more children is unconvincing as hell - good luck having 20 kids here. They simply won't be able to afford them - children are expensive in a civilised world. On the other hand, Europe needs young eager working hands to keep its economy going and the migrants will be providing that. Plus, a lot of the current wave of migration is formed of the middle class and professionals. They will also be quite handy - and less picky - than the stale unionised work forces in Europe. Terrorists? Well, sending terrorists to Europe disguised as migrants is the most stupid and inefficient way of doing that. The best way is to use those who already live here and have the citizenship, passports and the whole shebang. These home-grown dissidents are much easier to recruit too. Because, the migrants want to come here to have a better life - they are less interested to go all the way only to blow themselves to pieces in the name of some sky fairy. They can easily do it without going anywhere in the first place... Regards -

Torture never works if what you want is to obtain trustworthy information. You can submit someone's will by torture and that may be useful if you're after some kinky sexual kicks but that's about it. By the way - that's what torture is really being used for. For self-gratification of the tormentors - be it Abu Graib, or Guantanamo or some shit-hole in Syria - all the torture is being done by perverted individuals for their own perverted pleasure. And it was the same for the Inquisition and for the Gestapo and for NKVD and take any other example. There is no place for state-administered or state-sponsored torture in a civilised society. Hello, America, you hear that, right? Regards

@Jeb - Ah! How nice! Nobody better mess with that purple dragon! Quite interesting to see how it got from a rough sketch to a beautiful painting, though. Your colour work is so admirable in these "glowing" pictures you've been drawing recently! @K4 - A beautiful scene. I love moonlit places... And that searchlight beam... It makes it feel more foreboding, somehow... @Continuous - I really like the first one... A nice idea... Which nebula is that? @Zaraki - Oh, dear... What would it do if it were allowed to think? There'd be no stopping it! Hehe... @Journeyman - Pretty. Pretty life-like too! Took me some time to convince myself they were not a photo. Nice work! @Roo - A suitably grumpily smug character you've got! He seem to have deep pockets too! His whole forearm fits in Regards
