  1. We are only dealing with opinions here and I may agree or disagree with yours but I'll always respect your right to have one. I have to say though - your explanation didn't convince me in the least, that's why I hastened to state my own opinion on the matter... Basically you state that "because there is no meaning in anything, anything has no meaning" - I think is it is a circular argument and it's based on a highly disputable assumption in the first place... I personally think that existential nihilism is a seductive self-deception for those who don't otherwise like to look at the simple facts of physical life and prefer to escape from reality into these kinds of flawed logical constructs. Its proponents are mostly "humanities" scolars like Nietzsche and Dostoyevsky and those people REALLY tied their minds in knots, driving themselves fairly crazy in the end... Regards
  2. Ah, it's simply because it flies in the face of observable facts and any theory that does that is not valid, by definition. Regards
  3. *sighs* Existential nihilism is not a valid philosophical theory and "meaning" and "purpose" are interchangeable in the context, let's not split hairs here... So, yep - still pretty much in knots... Regards
  4. I think you tied yourself up in knots a little bit with that argument... Just the simple fact that there is joy and pain, the concept of something being bad and another thing being good for you means that there is a gradient, a bias, a direction. And if there is a direction - that means there is a purpose. A destination point somewhere in that direction - on the way from bad to good. And that's what life does - it avoids what's bad for it and tries to move towards what's good for it. And even now we can have a reasonably good idea of what that good is and some conclusions can be drawn from there about if not the final purpose, then at least about the key milestones on the way there. Regards
  5. @Selfsurprise: Here is Binky's EP on SoundCloud: Regards
  6. Oh, Jeb, you took my words literally, didn't you - when I said "don't stop"? I have not yet seen a drawing of yours where you put so much beautiful detail and atmosphere in the background and landscape! It's amazing! But geez... the Dragoness - even the little green lizard seems paralised with fear of an incoming showdown! And look into her eyes - this does not bode well for the rider at all! Though... am I right in assuming he is not her usual rider, either? Clothes, hair - all unfamiliar... And - he harnessed her, too! Comfy in his high-chair saddled on her back... Is that the way to fly with that beautiful creature? I don't think so... Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't sympathasie with this character... And I don't think muzzling a powerful dragon is going to make him any safer when her patience finally runs out... But, what a beautiful drawing! Thank you for sharing this... And the progress shots too - fascinating... You're perfecting your style with every new picture... I cannot keep my eyes off it... Thank you! Regards
  7. You are spoiling us with cuteness and adorableness, my dear Jeb... And please don't stop... Regards
  8. Well, the lady of the house has spoken and the matter is well and truly closed then. My apologies, ma'am. Regards

  11. Et tu, Brute? *rolls his eyes, crawls back under his stone* Regards
  12. Ah, I'd say - if it's good enough for a British Prime Minister to say that word aloud live on air, then it's probably OK for this forum d3Mrfut-FSw Regards
  13. I wouldn't be asking Ross at this stage... Regards
  14. School IS a verb. To school: to train a person or animal to do something; to teach a child. http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/school Regards
  15. Apparently it happens at some point to one in every 6 people and is temporary, unless caused by injury or dislocation. I don't think, Jeb, you've had any facial injury lately, no? One thing to consider - if you've been doing anything unusual involving your mouth (*scratches his head about what that might be - chewing on a steak over-enthusiastically, perhaps?*), something you haven't practiced before... It might have strained your muscles in an unusual way and triggered this thing... Just take it easy with these new experiences for now and it should get better and go away... With time, as your muscles will be trained for that type of action - you will develop resilience and resistance, which should prevent this kind of problem in the future... Regards
  16. Awww... She's so beautiful... Sweet dreams, pretty dragonette... Regards
  17. Well, people die... We've lost some good musicians in the last couple of years... Alvin Lee, Glenn Cornick, Chris Squire - to name a few... It's sad, but their music stays with us. So, no need for tears. Just let's celebrate their achievements and we'll all join them wherever they are in time, anyway... Regards
  18. You can't be lazy on purpose. If you are purposefully avoiding doing anything - you are practically being hard at work But, ahh... you're very welcome Regards
  19. Ah, sorry, homesickness induction was not intentional! I swear! But - just two more weeks and you're back, right? I couldn't resist trying to make that GIF - your photo was so tantalising... :lol:And, nice to think you like the flowers, too! Regards

  23. Hmm... I love good wine too... But for me - sex and wine are totally mutually exclusive. I don't get anywhere near the desired amount of pleasure from sex if I do it after having even a glass of wine... Well, though, thanks to Jeb I won't now need to concern myself with wine and sex interfering anymore Vampire ways... blood is the tipple of choice there, hehe Regards
  24. Ahhh... the bliss! The touch of those lips is the sweetest part <3 Oh, wait... I suppose I better not show my face anywhere in broad daylight anymore! Geez , it's a hoodie, beard and the darkest shades I can find for me now... Oh, and goodbye garlic... Darn, I love garlic! Still, was worth it! Regards
