  1. I suggest telling him something along these lines: "Oh, I'd be more than happy to draw on request for you but I promised to my friend/boyfriend that I will only do commissions. Can't wiggle out of it, I'm afraid... But if you offer me something reasonable - doesn't have to be much - I'll draw for you with pleasure." If you didn't actually make that promise - you can promise it to me, before replying to that guy... By the way, I didn't say anything about you Dancing Pair... I like it very much! The lines, the shading are so good and your choice of monochrome colouring is a very nice touch. I'm not bothered at all by any anatomical inaccuracies. To me - everything on that picture is an abstraction of feelings, emotions and I find that hyper-realism often distracts from that. I see this drawing as an art piece, not an illustration and the way you've done it opens avenues for imagination and interpretation for the viewers... Nice! Regards
  2. Ah, those tests... so sweet... But such a load of bollocks... Regards
  3. Nice song! You are doing more and more complex stuff... I like it so much. And in a waltz time this once? Here is the MIDI with the notes fixed. Unfortunately, fading is not possible in MIDI as far as I know. It can be rendered into audio and faded there. I can do that... Regards Feathers-A.zip
  4. If it doesn't show anything at all - even the POST or boot up diagnostics then I'm afraid the graphics card may have failed. Replacement is the only option then. Good news they are not that expensive now and there are cheap second-hand ones on Amazon or EBay. Bad news - shipping may be more expensive that the card... Regards
  5. Oh! I better not find myself in a dark alley of Accursed Farms forum, alone and after sunset, do I? OT: About to take a shower... Regards
  6. Oh, I actually prefer the Prophet's Song to the Rhapsody! About Genesis - there is not a song I don't like on Trespass (well, there are precious few I don't like in the entire Genesis catalogue, but still...). It is a much undervalued album and people tend to say that Nursery Cryme is the first true Genesis but I say bollocks to that. When I hear that "Looking for someone..." - sends shivers down my spine... And this - starts and ends with what could well be a Russian traditional piece Q4SeEHSKZL8 Regards P.S. @Binky - heh, I envy you in a way! Listening to that song for the first time Glad you enjoyed it!
  7. O-78TeJlq24 Like the fine wine, the stuff they did is only getting better with years... "Some of you are going to die- Martyrs, of course, for the freedom that I shall provide" That instrumental part - @5:00 - just so wonderfully powerful... Regards
  8. That's probably because you're holding it more like a violin? Hehe, the mods have descended from the heights of Mount Olympus and are having fun and games amongst the mere mortals... Regards
  9. @K4_Kydure - I certainly look at all the art you post. Like Jeb, I find your renders absolutely gorgeous - you are masterful with lighting and composition. Still remember that one with a knocked out man on the floor... @Jeb - You now even talk to the Universe in Russian? That's nice, I'd be the last to complain. But, generally, I find people rarely comment on art and videos. I notice that about myself even. Even for things where I may look with my jaw dropped. Just something in the human nature, I suppose... Regards
  10. Interesting choice of weapons by Russia... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-34465425 And interesting reaction to it all from the US and the West. They seem to be complaining but still very happy to let Russia do what it does. Regards
  11. It's for Ross, of course, you silly! Hehe! Regards
  12. Ah! What can be more satisfying than to give out love advice to others! I can instantly feel like a wise old man and forget about my own incompetence in the matter! Anyway, let me join the party!.. There's your problem - straight away. You don't have a girl problem. You have a Zaraki problem. Nobody wants to love a whiner. If you want someone to love you - at the very least you must love and respect yourself. Second - you must love and respect the person who you'd like to love you in return. If you think everyone's an asshole then love is not for you. Because I can tell you - it's statistically impossible for every last woman around you to turn out to be a bitch and an asshole. For love, you must have empathy and be prepared to care for and please the person you love at the expense of your own comfort. You must be prepared to give - even if you don't get anything back. If you can't, if you think it's a trade, tit for tat, or that you are somehow entitled to be loved - forget about it... Then do care and don't be negative. Regards
  13. Looks like the ideal thread for this! Let's do it then. Regards
  14. Heh, never thought of using it in that context It's good for listening while walking, though - nice, but not demanding of too much concentration Glad you liked it! Oh, man - you do that and I'll be your fan forever! I'm so glad I've been to a Yes concert while Chris Squire was still alive... RIP. My probably most favourite of their songs: 7WDkdZ6QvXY Regards
  15. Are, the endings are getting you confused. Tasmania = Тасмания, but "from or to Tasmania" = "из или до Тасмании" (note Tasmania - female in Russian) London = Лондон, but "from or to London" = "из или до Лондона" (London is male in Russian) If you search for Russian Cases Chart - you will find the tables for endings and for different pronouns. Из = from До = to (in the sense of eventually reaching something, not just moving towards it) Maybe we should open a separate thread for this? Regards
  16. You're doing it on your own? Oh, wow, you impress me even more! Ага, я из Москвы. Оттуда до Тасмании - путь не близкий! Из Лондона, правда, еще дальше... But, seriously, studying a language is not easy, especially the one like Russian - it even has its own alphabet! That you just decided to learn it and got on with it - I admire your determination! If you need any help - let me know... Regards
  17. Легко Русский? @Джеб: прямо так легко? Ты меня впечатляешь, девушка! Always a surprise up your sleeve, Jeb, ah? Your school has a Russian course? Regards
  18. Wow, what was that thing? Has it eaten you? Judging by its anatomy it would rip you open, then suck your guts out... Welcome back, 'Roo, by the way! (Says Vapymid, who's only just came back hisself, heh...) Regards
  19. Awww... Obviously, Jeb, you are much sweeter than an apple. Oh dear, I should stop saying these things... She's such a nice fluffy dinosaur, though! Seems like she feels quite safe and confident at your place. And it's just the second day? You are good with animals... Regards
  20. It's like all life - the urbanisation, I mean - it tends to concentrate in one place, because it allows easier and more efficient sharing of resources and information. Balanced against it is access to outside resources and waste heat management. Humanity is getting better at solving these problems and they will remain manageable as long as we have suitable and sufficient energy supply. Energy is everything. If we have enough energy - we can make fresh water, synthesise petrochemicals, grow food in unusual places, like in towers in the middle of cities, and what not... @Jeb - oh, don't worry. My paedo experience left me none the worse for it. Here is how it happened (the first and most noteworthy occurrence): It was in Moscow and I was, I don't know - 10? Plus or minus a year or two? I was walking back home from school and there was that old man walking along, carrying two paper bags as if they weighed a ton each... He asked me for help with the bags - to take them to his place just round the corner. Well, me being a good Pioneer (a kind of Soviet Boy Scout) - I agreed. The place was indeed round the corner but I sensed something was odd immediately, as the bags were actually feather-light. So, when he invited me in I refused. He tried to convince and cajole me, but I thought: "You, miserable old git - how could you even think I might be tempted to have sex with you? You're so ugly and - a man, FFS. I could imagine me having a second thought about it if you were a nice looking lady but... yeughhh!" But aloud I was very polite - no, I don't like chess, thank you (true), and I don't collect stamps (I lied here) and I'm not thirsty, thank you very much. In the end he gave me a book, which I promised to return in a week's time - as a Pioneer I felt I could not refuse a good book. A week later I brought the book back to him and when he tried to get me inside again, I just told him "no". He must have realised by then that I have figured him out, so he gave up... And that was it... @Binky - oh, man! That dick-trap will give me nightmares for weeks now! I believe it violates the Geneva Convention or the Human Rights Act or both! Regards
  21. I dunno... Last time I used my body as a host species for anyone, I sneezed and coughed for a week, also had fever and a seriously sore throat. I didn't find anything particularly fascinating in that experience @Jeb - we know you're fine. A Jedi won't use a rocket launcher in cold blood. A crude and indiscriminate tool. Yours is the lightsaber, an elegant weapon, for a more civilised age, Miss Kenobi. May the force be with you. Regards
  22. I'm fairly feminist myself from the philosophical point view. The idea of equal rights is so obvious and natural for me that I really can't understand the objectors. But philosophy and political "movements" based on that philosophy are usually totally unrelated. The latter usually take the shape of the former and fill it with contents which have very little in common with the original idea... Regards
  23. Qgf62sk_c1g Nine minutes - not a big deal. Here's a 31 minute song Regards
  24. Knowing how corrupt and flawed government institutions are in every country on Earth - the cannot be trusted with decisions of life and death as a punishment. That's why I am and will always be against capital punishment. Also, false convictions happen all the time and if the person is dead you can't undo the injustice. These two are enough reasons for me... But, also, rape is often not a clear cut situation. There are no witnesses. One person's word against the other's. False accusations are so common, the police is reluctant to even handle rapes. Then there is the statutory rape - when sex with a minor is involved - even if it was fully consensual. Rape is abhorrent but justice first needs to establish whether it has truly happen before one can even talk about punishment. Let alone putting someone to death. Ah, also, please, people - overpopulation is a myth. There is no such thing. Our danger is underpopulation in the developed world and the ageing of the population. Do you think why Germany is so eager to accept all these refugees? Regards
