Helped a friend build a computer late last week. She ordered a Silverstone Raven 3rd revision case and a corsair power supply. Problem was, in that combination, the case and PSU were incompatible. Why? The extender cable inside the raven had the flat end on the opposite end of the cable, and was too short to twist to fit the PSU. However, instead of replacing the PSU, she sent the case back in and got a different one. It made me giggle, but wasn't surprising.

As far as particular drives go, I'd recommend the Crucial M4. In most of its variants, the M4 costs less than $1 per gigabyte, with the 128gb having the lowest price to storage ratio at the time of this post. Plus, Crucial is a reliable company with good standing in the memory (and now storage) markets. SSD's are great for storing your OS (aka, as a boot drive) as well as productivity and creativity programs. Games, from what I can tell, don't benefit much from being stored on an SSD versus a 7200rpm HDD.

Granted, but it's hot coffee. I wish the cheap stuff in my wish lists didn't go out of stock so quickly.

Well, that sucks. Oh well, I've never really had a problem with the few games that I do have that use GFWL, so I guess I won't mind it here either. It's disappointing that they didn't go the extra mile to make a steamworks version too (afterall, consoles have the XBLA and PSN versions, why not the same for PC?), but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Yeah, that article is now gone on my end as well. Took it a few hours, though. Anyway, the whole GFWL thing is kind of in the air, as no one is being explicit in saying whether the Steam version will or will not use GFWL. If it does come down to that, well, bummer. Hopefully later news will shed clearer (and positive) light on the subject.

And none of the other straight up say that it will use Steamworks. It's not gone on my end, just checked. I used the link I posted here to find it.

That only seems to be true for the retail boxes of the game. The articles I've read don't suggest that you'd need to use GFWL when buying it through Steam. Of course, I could be wrong, and if so I'd be more than happy to read an article that supports that.

I can't say the Vita's poor sales are surprising. The hardware's expensive, the games are okay (my opinion, I've only seen a few vita games I'd like to play. Sadly, all three of them are rehashes of PS3 or PS2 games that I already own), and the system is pretty much unhackable, a 'flaw' in the PSP that helped boost its sales. The worst thing about it, is that all of these features, and more, will surely be passed down the line to the fourth home console Sony may release (assuming they last that long). Thanks Sony, you made my decision to be a PC gamer all the easier.

I'd have to say Sonic. Would probably be an improvement over most of the 'newer' Sonic games and Sonic X anyway. Being on the receiving end of Goosh Goosh or Two Girls One Cup?
