  1. It's a shame that most people would prefer Freeman above everything else. It's still quality work, but I hope it doesn't go the way of contemporary AVGN, where James I just phones it in for the anchor fans. Still, RLM managed to diversify, and Ross and just as resourceful. He'll probably avoid slow death.
  2. Modern devs and artists alike made a logical fallacy in a assuming "new" equals creative.
  3. I actually never played though any of the HL games, if you can believe it. Something too tedious about those games... So I guess power fantasy Shepard for me.
  4. Quake 2 is a timeless fps imo. Oozes with creativity and variety ( dropping the "TRESSPASAH" guy into the lava on the warehouse level) Quake 1 w/ nostalgia goggles. Quake 3 or Unreal?
  5. The OGs on this site have become complacent and lazy. Now is our time; now is the dawn of the newfag. First forum rule amendment: any account with +3 years activity is auto b& . Little Lamplight Statute
  6. John Romero, obviously. Did he make you his bitch?
  7. Samurai Jack. No offense, guy with aku avatar.
  8. Nah. It was actually Rarity.
  9. Gordon reminds of an old-money guy that attended the same fencing club as I did. He didn't quite make the "Gothic-Armorial" financial clade, but he had the same classiness and mannerisms about him. And boy, did he ever get prissy when he lost to one of us peasants. Anyway, idk what you meant by "potentially polarizing"; this was one of the best yet! Hunter S. Thompson though... too soon.
  10. Hello, my name is [redacted]. I've been on this site for a while, but never got around to posting in any of "personal" threads. I'm here for the caustic/genuine humour and because I'm bored. Happy Halloween!
  11. I enjoyed it thoroughly, but it could've trimmed some fat around the sides. Not sure it's possible for anything for a Blade Runner though... maybe cutting down the establishing shots would denature it into something less enthralling? 7/10 for both movies. They have flaws.. but their flaws are insoluble parts of their character. Am I weird for thinking it was absolutely perfectly paced? Too be fair, I downed a few beers before the showing because I thought it was going to be typical, run-off the mill blockbuster nonsense ( I got thrown out of Into Darkness for laughing too hard.. more than one way to enjoy things, I guess). I knew that what I was watching was good, but my handicapped brain was still dozing off at times. Might agree with your score if I see it without liq, haven't had the chance for a second viewing yet.

  13. Does anyone know why my lab data is the exact(1%-2% error) reciprocal of the theoretical values? I was about throw my entire report until I noticed the relationship, for which there is no obvious reason lol
  14. Western civilization is built on the backs of outsiders, that is a fact. And no matter how incompetent or benevolent the current administration is, someone somewhere is always getting the short end of the stick for our benefit. That's not say life is a zero-sum game, but the scales are definitely skewed in our favour. Is it unethical? I would say yes. But what can be done about it? The most obvious answer would be to redistribute wealth and resources amongst all the countries in the world. Simple right? But are you prepared to cut down your individual consumption by several factors? Are your prepared to give up the most expensive item you own? Your house? Your car? Are you prepared to face the uncertainty of much different, much less secure, much harder life? Am I? It's always easy to scorn the system over a full plate of food, not so easy to share without even knowing how much you'll loose. Personally, I believe the only way to create a truly balanced world without nations, like the US, dominating the rest, is by gradual changes over a couple hundred years. Though I highly doubt it will ever happen.
  15. Ross probably delayed the episode because he was stuck on the desert level. He wanted to give up at every misstep, but his indomitable inner baldness prevailed. (that's my head canon)
  16. jQcBwE6j09U egggcelent taste @Psychotic Ninja
  17. Well, at least the whole Syria fiasco won't lead to WW3 now. Seriously, a lot of people don't know what a powder keg that place is, and how much Clinton was fanning the flames towards that direction.
  18. >The episode came out on Halloween Damn, I just lost 5 dollars. Keep up the good work
  19. I've recently read East of Eden, it was pretty good, you should give it a shot. I see a book or a movie as a magic act. The writer, the magician, is unravelling the plot out of his magic hat, and you want to know how he came up with all this and what will happen next. A cliche is just a trick that you've seen a million times. If you can see the strings (the writer's clear intentions), then the act is boring.
  20. Any Russian speakers here? I want to show my cousin Code Geass, but all the subs I found where literally .ass. Which are the most decent ones.
  21. Was recently on the in a small village in Ukraine, in the conflict zone. There was no hot water, but the internet was twice as fast as in the States. W H Y
  22. Fell out of a cable car in Kharkiv. Broke my thumb.
  23. Just arrived in Amsterdam; in serious need of a massage after being a 6'4 person on long flight.
  24. Since when did comrade Bernie Sanderov become independent lol? Technically he's still running as a democrat.
  25. Say what you want about Japan, but their OSTs are impeccable. JQcd-ShNauQ
