Because it didn't fit with the established Star Trek timeline, and when the fans of the classic shows offered an olive branch by saying it took place in a parallel universe, thy were told it wasn't an alternate. It pissed of the real fans into boycotting the show for it's entire air time, which caused it to be canceled. (if the fans don't watch, who will?) The new movie however is awesome, and is a perfect way to resurrect the Star Trek franchise. (alternate timeline, no planet Vulcan) Ok, I'm adding The Twilight Zone, and Starship Troopers to the poll...

My snack: Tortilla, semi-thin layer of pizza sauce, thick layer of shredded Italian 5-cheese Blend, put in oven at 400f for about 5 min, turn oven off, pull out of oven when the cheese is just lightly browning on the top... Mmmmmm...

I use Coby stuff personally... Same style. My nephew keeps getting iPods from his Dad, so I know a little about them.

I just told you, no you don't. There is a settings option that turns off the iPod's security, and you can use anything you want, or even use the iPod as a jumpdrive... Takes 15 sec to do.

What, no poll? Honestly, the Glock... I have a mouse macro that lest me fire it about as fast as the Pulse Rifle. I did however make a mod of the Pulse Rifle that got rid of most of that excess recoil, improved accuracy slightly, and increased ammo... That was my favorite weapon when modded.

Felt cloth works great for sound dampening, and is very inexpensive. Heck, sound dampening cloth is basically a combination of felt and paper fibers... If you want to get really solid anti-echo in addition, get some thin foam-rubber to put behind the felt.

Well considering that we're the only race on this planet that records history, when we're gone, there goes our place in history. (especially if the planet gets destroyed before aliens get here)

Depends on your definition of "planet"... My definition is, if it has a diameter of over 500mi, has a definite solar orbit, (not planetary/lunar) is not in an obvious 'belt' of some kind, and is within 5 billion miles of the sun at Aphelion, then it is a planet. The IAU definition is different however... IAU's definition of "planet"

Not in mine, but in the words of the teachers in 99.9% of the public schools in America. Try to understand, it's not about the theory itself, it's about what is taught in the schools, and when it's taught to the children. And how often do they actually use those? I personally know of the methods, but have yet to see anyone use them for fossil dating. Are you trying to miss the meaning of what I post?
