Except in those other mediums females are pretty much 50% of the audience, gaming has always been male dominated. Just look at anything with a majority female/male group, people make fun of male nurses and they make fun of female labourers. No one is going to make fun of a female playing the Sims are they? Everyone pretending this only occurs in gaming just pisses me off as it makes all gamers seems misogynistic. This happens everywhere people. Sexualization in games will always occur with games targeted towards males, or are you going to tell me that the music industry isn't ten times as worse despite having a far larger female audience.

This is a terrible thread and you should feel terrible for posting in it. Here's a site you might like: http://www.reddit.com

Legend of Grimrock, best game of 2012 so far. Can't wait for the brilliant custom maps, PC FTW.

But stuff like Atom Heart Mother and Jugland Blues are very different from DSoTM and The Wall, for example I love David Bowie but I dislike his "Young Americans" album.

In no particular order and only 5 because I'm lazy- nlNantlznCA In The Court of the Crimson King - King Crimson My favourite album from one of my favourite bands. r0Spl1cOf-o Selling England by the Pound - Genesis Genesis before it became a pop band, some of my favourite prog rock. MYiahoYfPGk Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd That one song alone contains too many emotions for me to handle at once. Never mind the rest of the album. I also love Wish You Were Here. mHJH0ETi8D4 Zeppelin IV - Led Zeppelin I'm a bit biased here as I was basically raised on this album, but this album has forever changed my taste in music and I absolutely love it for that. XXq5VvYAI1Q The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars - David Bowie Another album I've owned since early childhood.

Because they're overused and pandering.

And you thought a normal Rubix Cube was hard.....

I'm not being a dick about it, the actual site says "4D", which makes no sense. It's just like those "4D" movies which apparently mean you get water sprayed at you. Dimensions are not the same thing as sides and unless I'm mistaken the "4D" rubix cube is definitely not a hypercube. -

What the hell, I just looked at the trailer. It's just CGI, there's no gameplay whatsoever in it. If you want to know about the actual gameplay check out the Dishonored cover GI did a few months ago, all those YT commentators have no idea what they're talking about. It is in no way focused on free-running like AC or Mirror's Edge.

The Uzi does far higher DPS than the Pistol, and the shotty is brilliant if you know how to use it. Use the spinfusor for people on the ground then take off loads of their health with the shotty in midair, if you've ever play PF on Arena you'd know how useful the shotgun is.

Exactly the same except without all the shitty references.

System Shock? Thief? It's an immersive sim so comparisons to games such as Bioshock or AC are kind of useless unless you're talking about art style or atmosphere (which is how HL relates). Immersive sims are by far my favourite genre by far, yet there are only 30 or so in existence and they're mostly all quite old. The devs recent game Dark Messiah of Might and Magic was quite close to being an immersive sim and it's the only reason I will definitely pre-order this game without looking at any news, I would have been wary with any other dev, as Looking Glass Studios (basically the creator of the genre) were one of the few that could do it brilliantly, funnily enough the only other brilliant ones (Arx Fatalis and Deus Ex) were made in conjunction with designers from Looking Glass. Too bad they shut down in 2000.

It's only expensive if you aren't good at the game, I usually have enough for a new weapon after 30 matches of CTF and classes are cheaper than that. I'm sure you don't mean things such as the Stealth Spinfusor or Tech's Thumper (Piece of bullshit), which cost 100,000 XP. Well I was talking about the 42K items like the throwing knives etc. but even then, it's going to take you more than 30 matches just to learn how to correctly use your current arsenal, never mind buying more. I play about 6 matches a day 5 days a week and I own everything apart from the Stealth Spinny and the LAR (it's not all fully upgraded though).

Actually not at all. It's more like Deus Ex mixed with Half Life. It's the lead artist, Victor Antonov (I think that's how you spell the name), they also have the lead designer for the original Deus Ex working as the lead designer for this project

Can't wait for this game, I'm avoiding every dev interview and trailer though. I already know I'm buying the game and I don't want to know half the things about it by the time it comes out like I did with Skyrim. That really ruined the experience for me. 2012 seems to be shaping up to be pretty badass- an immersive sim game, kickstarter projects allowing great PC genres to be revived, one of the only good console exclusives making it's way over to PC, PC exclusive games from big names like Crytek and Epic, brilliant MMOs like GW2, Tera and World of Darkness (so hyped for this game, anything like VTM-B is an insta-purchase for me) finally breaking WoW MMO formula, F2P games like Tribes, Firefall and Super MNC coming out. All that needs to happen is for a few good RTSs to come out (hint: COH2(!!!) and a new Homeworld game(!!!) are rumoured to be coming from Relic soon) for this year to be as good as 1998.

Enjoy your 4GB of deadweight RAM and your overkill processor. Those GPUs are absolute crap, Sims 3 on medium settings is about the nicest looking it's going to get without a better GPU.

Brad is awesome. This is a fact. That crack he made about rap music pissed me off. How dare he bash an entire genre of bad music?

If people "grin and bare it" nothing ever gets better. That's the Namco Community Manager by the way.
