Where's the Fair Use Awareness Topic

Whether something is illegal or not is for the Court to decide - not for Google. GoodlyGoogle will not expose itself to that and you wouldn't if you were in their place. This is your and the OP's problem - you are barking up the wrong tree... Regards -

You are funny... You first tell me to fuck off because you don't understand the issue, then you say something very stupid but with the look on your face as if you know something about it, then you complain that I laughed at you for saying something stupid... And somehow I am to blame for all that... "all because of the DMCA system YouTube set in place." YouTube didn't set up "the DMCA system". DMCA is a law that has been passed by your country's legislature and which is a bad law and is being abused. Google must act according to that law in order to protect their arse from lawsuits by someone who has more money for lawyers than some puny average YouTuber. The OP has confused the cause and the effect in his post. I corrected him. Regards -

Well, yes, they do it all the time. Heard of "cancelled shows"? And if you want to bring your show on TV without a substantial investment and mostly at your own risk - forget about it... YouTube is different in that the barrier for entry is low... but the reward is low too. Regards -

Well, the truth of the matter is that the "monetization" is not yours. It's Google's and it's up to them to decide whether they want to pay you money for attracting viewers to their advertisers or not. And whatever they decide - you either take it or leave. And that has nothing to do with the concept of copyright or DMCA itself. But, sure, the flawed US laws are being used as a weapon on the internet... And will always be used until the laws themselves are changed... But they won't be, so... Regards -
Hehe... Malhek - this is a game and the names of real (and good) bands are disallowed! Unless, of course you imagine that Binky has turned to a flower... A flower?! If you go down to Willow Farm, though... to look for butterflies, flutterbyes, gutterflies... Regards

I have lived in remote areas in Russia... but only for a couple of weeks at a time... The biggest problem there is if hopelessness will set it... If you don't see a future to strive for... The only way out is - drinking yourself into oblivion... But some people can resist - if you can think and dream, if you can read and you have a thirst for learning things, then even in the remotest part of the world you can remain sane and optimitstic. And these days, with the internet you can even find a human company of likeminded people, regardless of where you physically are... So - there is no automatic reason for despair there... But... perpaps the man might need a helping hand and some encouragement, if he himself can't see the world in just as bright a clolour... Regards

Ah, yes - can't deny... The current Extradition Treaty between the US and the UK is a bit shit... Tony Blair should be put in prison forever for that alone... But even that piece of outrageous tukheslechery requires the US authorities to claim a reasonable suspicion of a crime committed within the US jurisdiction... And English courts are taking ever dimming view of the treaty now... Regards

Oh, Jeb... May I suggest the usual rules on double-posting be suspended in this thread? It feels like you've been pushed out of the cosy and nice gallery to resort to displaying your new works on the railings around a nearby park instead - posting your wonderful art in Random and the like... Awww... She's so beautiful in her fury... Probably the last sight many a sailor saw in their lives... Regards
-
No no no no no. That's NOT what extradition is for. Extradition agreement is for one country to hand over a person to another country only if that other country has a reasonable case AND the jurisdiction to prosecute that person. Regards

It's been a while since I've posted anything here... Tsmz5aoXk00 Regards

Well, there is a concept of jurisdiction. A non-Amreican outside America, doing something that is legal where he is, cannot be commiting crime in America even if he endangers the life of an American in some remote place. Because America does not have jusrisdiction over him and that place. And if America then tries to impose its American justice on such an individual it can only be considered as an extra-jusdicial thuggery. And even American Courts and Judges are very careful about ruling on extraterritoriality of the US laws... Regards

Hehe... I suppose that what drives people to be so bigoted about the genres and fitting each peace of music in its particular slot is probably the same mechanism that creates fundamentalism and ultra-orthodoxy in religions. The actual message, or music in our case, is forgotten and only the paraphernalia and outward appearances matter. And then these people slip into the tribal instincts and protect their little imaginary temple from desecration. Pathetic... Thankfully, for me - if it sounds Prog to my ear - than it's Prog and nothing else matters Regards
