  1. Stereotypes everywhere i still wonder, on how many sites and gaming communities, girls are looked as rarity, makes me laugh everytime discussion like this pops up
  2. i suggest that you do- there are tons of great mods in TWC (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forum.php) and if its difficult to get into, perhaps use trainers/hacks at first in campaign (i know many of you frown on that, but it actually helps a lot to use them to get into some game). btw small hint: in Rome and Medieval 2, you can unlock all factions by going to game folder, navigate yourself to /data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign folder and look for text file named descr_strat. just lift those factions to "playable section" (NB! you wont be able to see one faction if you copy them all, so leave one behind). of course back up file before you do that. In M2TW, however, you might want to use custom campaign mod instead of messing with text file as mongols/timurids/aztecs arent available otherwise and crash the game when you try to play as them. in Empire and Napoleon, you must use modified files though. Also i noticed it helps a lot to know hotkeys, such as selecting only cavalry (ctrl+c), infantry (ctrl+i) or missles (ctrl+m). If you are unsure about tactics however, let me suggest watching videos of PrinceOfMacedon in YT, a legend in RTW (last time he lost in rome was in 2009 i think and he plays daily, so...)
  3. i think real threats are nuclear war and overpopulation (or rather living beyond nature regeneration capabilities), which could cause serious problems. however, call me optimist if you will, but i do honhestly consider one other possibility, which could end humans... as we know. In Stargate series (both SG1 and Atlantis anyways, not big fan of SGU), one race known as the ancients, lanteans and alterans (all the same race btw) evolved to the point where they got rid of physical bodies and ascended to live as pure energy. Sounds ridicolous enough to rule out real possibility of it? actually... no. There is no psychical (like psychics here) obstacle for us to not do this, main problem lies with keeping our essence intact (because what makes us who we are? body or our mind, our memories, dreams, feelings?), while atoms (or even sub-atomic particles) can be who knows where. also, getting energy to live could be problem, however if we would somehow manage to do that, we could very well do that. Of course, its highly unlikely we will reach that stage even within few thousand years, if we havent wiped us out by then but... not too long ago we couldnt even dream of going into space and now we are doing in daily basis, heck, not too long ago we predicted computers to be no smaller than room size at best or in that matter, we didnt imagine half the things not too long ago, we enjoy today, so who knows... PS! i know i might sound crazy here, but just think about it
  4. because lets destroy Russia! muhahahaha!
  5. ...or just use + and - signs
  6. 1) i was born on 13th and friday 2) i was born exactly 60 years after my grandmother 3) i was one of the first people (if not first overall) to be registered to born in my hometown after it became town officially 4) i can be considered history geek, especially when it comes to Estonia 5) i like to brag about Estonia's achievments (for example estonian named Martin Klein holds record of winning longest wrestling match ever recorded, which was semi-final match against finn Alfred Asikainen in 1912 Stockholm olympics. it was 11 hours and 40 minutes long and it exhausted him so much he couldnt compete in final. however he was first estonian to get olympic medal) 6) i like to sing and frankly have tought to try to become professional singer, but... i think i would need serious push, though i have been told i got good voice. 7) i can pull one of my thumbs out of the joint at will with using only muscles of thumb itself and restore it in its correct state same way... about 6-7 times in 10 seconds 8) I just cant ask any girl out.. just mental block thing..

  10. Stole that idea from TWC Rules: Basically the game is like voting- you take the region away from one faction and give it to other Example: Sweden has 7 regions, as does Denmark. Denmark takes region from Sweden, so region numbers are Sweden 6, Denmark 8 When faction is dead (as in 0 left), you cannot revive it. You DO NOT have to take one side only, you can be favouring whatever faction you like. The last faction standing is the winner double posting is forbidden (in frame of the game i mean, as just chat its fine) and always check the previous posts for rule breakings (just in case) NB!!!! you can only make ONE territorial change per turn (marked by numbers). it means you can ONLY change 2 numbers- one number to take away ONE point and second to add ONE point you can remove faction from the list after faction's "death" to prevent reviving Also, if this game happens to be popular enough for to cause some mixups, well, i will go there if its really needed "battle list" is in next post
  11. Possibility of staying anonymus is one of basic requirements of freedom of speech, that is reason for certain goverments trying to remove that. quote from movie "singing revolution" (documentary about Estonia during late 80-s, how singing played crucial role of regaining independece for us, i reccommend to watch it): "..when you give free speech to people, things get out of hand"
  12. Where to start... Command & conquer (entire series except(!) tiberium twilight, red alert 3 and the latest c&c) GTA (entire series) Assassin's Creed (also entire series with exception of AC1) Rome: total war Medieval 2: total war Empire: total war Napoleon: total war Call of duty (entire series- i like them because they are just shoot-first, ask questions later type of game, which is great for unwinding) Battlefield 1942 (cant say how much i enjoy this, especially with mods) Mafia- The city of lost heaven (best. storyline. in. game.) The walking dead (telltale games version) Monkey island (entire series- this is just good ol' classic, one of few PC games i played in childhood. i hope it will continue) Worms: armageddon Fifa (latest version, IF there is patch (doesnt matter if user-made or not) made for national teams, especially Estonia) Sleeping dogs Splinter cell Splinter cell: Pandora tomorrow i guess thats it, at least as far as i can remember

  14. Meelis13, feel free to challenge me in TW games >
  15. ahh.. memories C&C tiberian sun was first video game i played on PC (well, at least the one i remember anyways)- i remember how annoyed i was when in one of GDI missions (btw it was relatively early) i always hit a bug, where health of buildings AND units was constantly decreasing. i actually defeated this mission few times back then even with the bug, but more than once i forgot about that bug until it was too late XD i especially remember one particular time where my huge attack force was just few pesky units away from victory, when... *BOOM!* "low power" *me shifting view into base, where all buildings are blowing up...* meanwhile my attack units also got killed... most painful loss ever I am so happy though, that C&C tiberian dawn, tiberian sun and red alert are freeware now BTW, small all around question for you c&c fans here: do you consider generals as c&c or not?
  16. ...and this is how mighty fall Youtube and Google are making grave mistakes recently, with youtube making some channels viewable only for money (to bring out example). Seems like people never learn from history- you can be as mighty as ever, but if you start making same mistakes as other mighty companies/nations before, well, downfall is pretty much guaranteed. This has applied for Nokia for example- once certain market leader in cell phones all over the world, now barely hanging on. Or lets take countries for example: February revolution of Russia started also not so much because form of goverment, but because Nikolai 2 was making similar mistakes as fallen absolute monarchs before if not even worse, USSR (aka empire of evil) also fell (well, partially anyways) because powers were unable to deal with peaceful yet powerful resistance in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, where it spread all over USSR. Similar to pre-February revolution situation Speaking of Russia, both Napoleon and Hitler made curiously same mistake: wait for coldest winter and then march on Moscow Point is- we just dont learn from history, including Google and Youtube XD Greetings and best wishes for future from Estonia!
