Depends if the spot was a puddle before or after delivery of said newspaper.

 

EDIT: On an unrelated note, I apologize for going absolutely apeshit in the Forum Games subforum today. It's been one of those days. The fact that it was a day off, that I had no plans whatsoever, in conjunction with the scrotum-baking heat, had basically written off the entire day for me. I want to become a troglodyte.

Doesn't matter, bag protects paper from getting wet. I don't see a reason to keep the bag. Odds are it's going to be thrown away anyways. Plus, one of the 'good' spots is near that 'puddle'. Lastly, it's near the 'puddle'. Not on it.

from my experience, there isn't a newspaper bag on this planet that doesn't have holes in it. That and getting the newspaper out of the muddy bag only spread the water onto the surface, as well as tracks mud into the house even when being careful.
