The idea sounds neat... Too bad I live in another continent and can't afford a plane ticket.

Seen any good machinima videos? Please post links here.
Lu replied to Ross Scott's topic in Machinima in general
Hey, You may know these as they were really popular back in the day. Xanatos made a Hitchcock tribute using the source engine, and then a sequel to it. TO who's seen hithcock movies, there are really interesting. v5AMS_bMcQA Here's the sequel: ZWLzucirWs4 -
I'll start by getting into twitter myself, haven't ever been on it so I'm not familiar with it's dynamics to the point I'd involve it with the bussiness, but I'm progressing on that and using my own for now to learn it. The second one and third one are even easier to incorporate than any of mine. Thanks (: Valentine's Day is coming up, I better get working on that!

I've lived tour situation since my steam career started. I'm a minor so i can't use international credit/debit cards (so no paypal). I got a friend to buy me the games and "gift" them to me. And I transfered the money to him via local banks. I bought several games like that and most recently I exchanged some vintage and strange TF2 items for a copy of Borderlands 2. It's safe and legal as long as your counterpart is someone tou can trust. In both cases I knew the people that did me the favor. Now steam makes it much easier with the new inventory system.

Ross Scott doesn't wear ties. You know why? Because he's a rebel. The day they try to enforce the slave code on you, let them know there could be an ACCIDENT in the internet. And by ACCIDENT I mean BOMB the site. (FM reference)

Enter The Freeman - damn good HL machinima!
Lu replied to HLPrincess's topic in Machinima in general
Just brilliant, if anyone decided to make a low-medium budget HL film it should be like this. -
Butterfree is friggin awesome. Sleep powder + compound eyes really works out to ease legendary-catching. Cool list.

Hi. As none of you know, my mother owns a flowershop. Currently we're not in a very good financial situation so I decided to get into the social networks and become the community manager and administrator for the bussiness' facebook page. I'm also in charge of graphic design, as we can't afford a real designer and my mom's and partner technological knowledge is almost non-existent. So, I'm trying to figure out some ways to improve sales and make the page more dynamic. I've come up with the following: -15% discount on your order/purchase if you saw the add on facebook -Randomly give away a $40 prize every 2 weeks to all the likes in a post (flowers, of course). -Flower related trivias -"Did you know?" And "fun fact" flower posts. -Tips on how to make your flowers last longuer (since you bought them dead). -Curious uses of flowers in history and different cultures posts -Giveaway flowers and dinners at good restaurants on special ocassions such as mother's day, valentine's day and such via like contests (random). (Already know a couple of people we can get a partnership with). --------------------- If you could come up with something else, that'd be great (: Also, If you want to post/ask for ideas for any other kind of bussiness feel free to. (Changed the topic title because it sounded like something straight out of a spambot). Thanks.

I'd have loved it if he was holding a "I <3 AF" sign. i humbly request that as your next picture in this thread

I got Metro 2033 lately as well and I'm also reading the novel. As usual there's a lot that's left behind. Lots of details about the misterious Hunter were removed in the game and the start feels actually very forced when you compare it to the 3 chapters it takes Artyom to leave his home station. Awesome game by the way. Reminds me of the classic FPS experience (Half-Life for example) and not the new annoying style filled with objectives and guidepoints. I much prefere the old school style where they tell you where you have to go and you have to manage to get there by yourself..

Have you played Star Fox 2? It's actually very good and kind of obscure due to it's cancellation and posterior revamp.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the harms of criminalization. Legalizing weed (and other drugs) would strongly weaken the black market, those jackasses who sell brown shit to 12 year old kids (not to mention they rip them off but they kind of deserve it), fool hundreds into crossing the border with drugs on them (resulting in prison or muder) and drug related violence in cities like Tijuana (a very clear example to all of us) and many, many others. The Dutch government even had to close prisons when weed was legalized, imagine how many of those stupidly spent resources could have gone to better causes. If auto-consumption was also promoted people would have clean and organic pot if they'd chose it. No government-capitalist-conspiracy additives or really shady origins in your joint. People would have even better alternatives to traditional medecine.. I think the good side of legalization may be way bigger than the bad one if people were educated about the drug and didn't necessarily go buy "marlboro greens" when it gets legal.

I'm a hardcore Star Fox fan. The first one I ever played was the first one in a neighbor's SNES when I was a little kid. We jumped on the bed and screamed like cheerleaders when we finally got to beat Andross. Then I got my first Gamecube and played a pirated copy of Assault on it. Great Star Fox game, imho. I remember crying when Peppy sacrifices himself for star Fox to reach the Aparoid Queen. Then it was all about getting the golden medals, finding the secret flags, unlocking Wolf, Peppy and others in the multiplayer and beating my friend's asses in the secret stages it took me hours to unlock. Assault was a very solid game. Then Adventures came to me. i never had the chance to finish it though, my pirated copy reached a certain point and stopped working there. There were a few details like "why is the arwing all rounded?" And "where the hell is my blaster?" That I didn't quite dig but looking back it's a good step Rare made by making the game different to the others. The saga has been willing to innovate since the developpement of Star Fox 2 (which I beat on the japanese text "almost finished" beta). If you haven't played it, it involves selectable arwings and transforming ships. You had to travel around the universe and stop missiles from hitting Lylat's planets and they all changed their course depending on the choices you made. The point is the game can't remain in what SF and SF 64 were. Even Assault contained third person shooter gameplay where you switched from it and the classic open air arwing fighting scenarios. Would be really boring if all we got were Reskined Star Fox 64s.

Haven't posted in the thread for a big while. Here's a recent photo of me at the Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris next to Jim Morrison's grave. The photo was taken by a friend of mine and there was so much in my head that I just couldn't set up my DSLR well (and I'm fairly good at it) and well, ended up with a photo that after lots of recovery in Lightroom loooks like it came out of a cellphone. Still, a very nice memory.

Wow hell that's hard. 10. Nidoking Despite being a total badass, there are a few reasons why Nidoking can't go any higher in the list. He's got some not so good vulnerabilities, being weak to Psychic attacks, ground, water and ice is pretty much vulnerable to at least 3 pokémon in your average team. But it does deserve to be on my list because of his wide variety of avaliable moves, and the fact that I had one at level 100 in Pokémon Fire Red back in 2006. 9.Charizard Another big fat badass, and long time companion to me. Charizard is an indisputable powerhouse but it's LOTS of weaknesses also drag him low on my list. Rock, Water and electric can take down your Charz in a matter of 2 hits. 1 in case of Rock due to his not-so-awesome defense stats. Still, lots of love towards him. 8.Ludicolo I've had so much fun pissing people off with a Ludicolo. With massive Sp. Def Ludicolo can use a combination of moves to become nearly inmortal on the field. Self-healing and restoring are your best friends when using one of these bastards (oh, and Ice Beam, to keep the flying types at line). Using Leech Seed, Protect and Substitute, Giga Drain, Scald and others is the most fun when used with a Ludicolo. 7.Haxorus I've only used these in multiplayer but boy, it's appearance just screams POWER more than 95% of Pokémon out there. It just transmits this vibe of sheer force when used or even seen. Need a reliable revenge killer? just choice scarf one of this mofos and get the outrages going. 6.Rotom Apart from Ludicolo, Rotom is one of the Pokémon I've given the most headaches with. I'm not particularily familiar with it, most of the times it's been asigned to me on random teams and haven't been built by me but boy, when I get one I'm sure the force is on my side. Of all the variants Fan Rotom is my favorite. 5.Milotic Milotics are all about beauty, and walls. Thunderbolt? Leaf Blade? No problem, she can take it. And bite you back in the ass with an Ice Beam or a Waterfall. Good defense, awesome looks and one of the best stories of self-improvement (see Feebas) make him one of my seriously favorite pokémon. Very reliable in combat 4.Ninetails Gorgeous. I used to tell my exgf that she was a lot like a Ninetails. Just beautiful, elegant, subtle, intelligent and very powerful underneath all that fluff. (not the same exact words). It's drought ability in later generations makes it a really useful pokémon and it's stats don't dissapoint at all, with decent sp. def a Ninetails can take a Hydro pump any day from most water types, specially if the sun is up and it's not-so-good sp.atk is greatly improved with fire moves. 3.Skarmory Metal bird. With the huge ass defense inherited from it's Steel type, this guy is a beast that can withstand anything anyday. The best Fly slave you can probably get IMHO. It's got a pretty good moveset and it's appearance is as badass as non-legendary birds get. I'd use one in any playthrough with confidence 2. Jolteon The type of Pokémon you know can save your ass when it's the last one left in your party. I'd love to back that argument with reasons like ''oh it's got a great movepool, very flexible'' and etc but it wouldn't be completely accurate. My Jolteon saved me countless times in Gyms and Elite 4 battles when you think everything has gone down the drain. If it's being hit by special attacks it can withstand some serious blows. It goes to hell when the Earthquake comes in though. 1.Ambipom I LOVE Ambipom's Technician ability. Combined with stat moves it creates a very reliable damage dealer to any type except steel. Well, you can always put Low Sweep on it, that will benefit from it's ability or even Brick Break and it will totally kick ass. It's just pure awesome even when he's just an aimpon. I seriously underestimated this Pokémon and it's unevolved sibling but when I got to use it and see it in action i was completely amazed. It's got a cute and playful appearance without losing the ''ready to fight anyday'' style.

Hey, As many as you may know, Ross is having some issues with the Machinima network. Casually I stumbled upon this post describing how Youtube ''stars'' are having trouble with their correspondent networks. For example, Braindeadly for Machinima or the iconic Ray William Johnson (who I'm a very big follower of) for Maker Studios. Apparently these companies have really aggressive and enslaving contracts in terms of intellectual property and are suddenly changing their terms in ways that are screwing content creators up. I'm currently trying to catch up with this issue, if anyone has more information about it i'd love to hear about it and know your point of view.

God, that cracked me up, I had never listened to it before.

During the first few levels, I couldn't help but wonder what Ross would've said if he started FM in this mod. I bet the first ''self defense'' kills would have arrived a tad earlier.
