I honestly hope the world ends in a massive conventional weapons war... My knowledge of metalworking will allow me to make a nice Ironman-like armor suit, (no hydraulics/pneumatics/servos, but they wouldn't be necessary for me anyways) and I can just pull guns and ammo off the dead... That is an extremely old and useless benchmark. Chrome is now on version 10.0.648.205, and I can barely make it go to 250MB on Win7 x64 with 30 tabs of this: http://www.nplay.com/BeGone/ Note also, that benchmark was done on a Vista x32 system, which had tons of memory management and allocation problems built into the OS... Each tab being on it's own is not just for unstable programs, it is just a ton less likely to cause errors. I have yet to see any program besides Chrome be called "bloated" for using multiple processes.

Bioshock 1/2 isn't a very hardware intensive game... Try something a little higher up the hardware level. (like BFBC2, or Crysis 2)

The only reassurance I can give you is, you can run most games. Get a GTX 560 if you want better reassurances, like "you can run most games at max settings with 32xSSAA while maintaining over 60FPS"...

Should try Chrome first. (it IS the fastest, and makes IE9 look like it's taking forever in comparison)

VLC kinda sucks. Just download the K-Lite codec pack (it's free) and use it's included "Media Player Classic"... Beats VLC any day. I'm just sitting here bored. Just finished first playthrough of ME2, and miss the MAKO from ME1 so bad...

No. When it comes to DRM, if I am inconvenienced more than just once at install, I don't buy the game. I'm trying to spread this mentality, but it's kind of hard when people would obey the law if it told them to jump off a cliff into a vat of razor blades.

Ok, so I've got some from these games: Fallout: New Vegas Half-Life 2 (this one was the hardest, read the .txt file for the why) Half-Life 2 w/ Cinematic Mod Half-Life: Episode 2 w/ Cinematic Mod Half-Life: Source w/ HD pack Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 Star Wars: Empire At War They're split into their own sub-folders for easier browsing, and comparison. All SS are in .png format. The total size of the .rar is 69.7 MB, so I'm putting it in a torrent. I'll be seeding for quite a while... Hands down, any Blizzard made game. Can't really think of any other intros that come anywhere close, so that's all I'm going to list for now...

I would want them to tell me they've gotten off their lazy asses, and built a couple hundred colony ships that are capable of interstellar travel, and have stasis pods. (colony ship = 10 million passenger minimum, with enough supplies to house and supply a starting 'village' of 10,000 or more for at least a year) I even have a ship design, if only they'd make the tech necessary to build the thing... (they've turned away from that area of research several times, they don't really want us to be able to leave our planet en mass)

Wait, there's and HD pack for HL1?!? Where? I want! There is but I don't think he is for Source. There's one for the original if you have Blue Shift. There is an HD pack for each. I have HL:S, and the HD pack for it. There are a few textures and signs that don't quite match up right, but I don't mind for the much better visual quality.
