DEAD GAME NEWS: LAWBREAKERS, STREAMING, STEAM
BTGBullseye replied to Ross Scott's topic in Other Videos
This might be of interest to you Ross: https://fckdrm.com/ CD Projekt (GOG) just made this site. Might be helpful for something. -
Sounds like it was a digital version of a Which Way book.
-
That voice acting would've ended the game entirely for me... As would the combat lack of mechanics.
-
That's what it sounds like to me. If turning it doesn't work, sometime percusion repairs work. (hitting the knob) Bear in mind, there is no way to permanently fix the knob, it would require replacement. That is, if it's the root cause. If not, it could be any number of things inside the DAC. (including a short circuit, or dust, or an burnt transistor, or a failing capacitor, etc.)

Dead Game News: EA Deletes User's Account Without Warning

That's grounds for a lawsuit if he doesn't get absolutely everything back. -
Except that I did give it a shot, I just don't give it all the shots before I decide if it's boring or not. If it can't at least SLIGHTLY entice me in the first 30 min, I don't just keep playing expecting it to get better.

Why so hostile? I said I thought it was boring, get over it.

[Dead Game News] All Adobe Flash support ends in two years.
BTGBullseye replied to Cloak_and_Dagger's topic in Other Videos
Most of those hacked games load assets from a server, the trick is finding someone who will save the assets when they load them. (as has happened for a large number of flash games in the past) -
For a game that is supposed to take less than 30 hours to complete, it's more like reading the first chapter...
-
I tried playing CT... It was boring for the first 30 minutes, then I turned it off.
-
I'll have to play it before I comment on its listworthiness... lol
-
Well, at least you had TMNT in there. lol
-
You're missing ALttP and Earthbound...

Bad example, as Glide has had an OpenGL wrapper for years... -

True that it's sad that they link it to online only, but there are lots of people preserving the at least semi-popular flash games... Many take requests too, just not for "this entire site". -

That's a bad example because I have a 100% offline version of it floating around in one of my spare hard drives. -
I think Ross might end up liking the Battlezone games... At least the classic ones. (the remakes are OK, but not quite as good as the original)

Must not've taken then, because it only allows 1 report, and I reported it after your comment... -

It's the kind of post you should report, (the ! in the lower right corner of the post) not reply to. -

Losing support isn't the same as killing the stuff using it. It's a difficult transition, but not necessarily bad in the long run. -

A rare thought on mouse vs. gamepad aiming
BTGBullseye replied to winterElf's topic in Gaming in general
Analog sticks have aiming assist... Mouse generally doesn't. -

What makes you think we'll run out? There is no indication of that in any of the reports I've seen. (including some pretty grim looking ones I'm not authorized to have seen) -
For the file hosting, you might want to consider Bayfiles... https://torrentfreak.com/former-pirate-bay-cyberlocker-bayfiles-makes-a-comeback-180718/

Great... Your video corrupted my converter install... lol Gonna take me a while longer to "reacquire" the converter.
