Sometimes branching a game series into other genres actually works, sometimes it doesn't.

I play it on Sega MegaCD a lot. Great version. I've also played the DOS version which was incredibly impressive for its time with digitized speech and really neat graphics. It's one of my favourite shmups of all time.

Played the first game. It's alright but not exactly to my taste.

Half-Life 1 had a giant tentacle monster. And Freeman's Mind would be nothing without it. But I didn't get a nerd crush on the tentacle monster I did... Is that a trifle disturbing though?

I think the Wii is their most versatile console yet. With the Virtual Console service you can even play the old gaming style you're praising.

Why did it take balls to put LPB up there? I mean, are you afraid of what people are going to think about you for putting it up there? You really shouldn't give a sh*t about what people are saying about a game. If you love it and get something out of it, it deserves to be among your top 5. Because it's YOUR top 5, not the general public's. I've never played LPB but it definitely looks unique. Anyway, if someone gives you sh*t for putting it there, don't listen to them. They're just bigots.

So true. The only videos like that that I watch are dedicated to "walkthroughs", and are always done silent. It was a bit of a harsh generalization of course, some LP videos are more serious.

Why Ross.... WHHHHHYYYY Probably the same reason I have difficulty getting into Bethesda's stuff. At the moment the only Bethesda game I really like is Fallout 3.

I have actually only played just a bit of it myself, but I love the music in it.

Eagles and Crows. Seems you like music with birds' names. I literally never noticed that until right now. You should totally check out A Flock Of Seagulls.

I do not mean to put forth the idea of cooperation in the series' between the series' (If that makes sense), as I do not wish to impose, I only seek to know if Ross will merely acknowledge the events of the other "Minds." I understand and I agree. It probably wouldn't be too hard.

Another early game of mine was BlackThorne. I just remember I really loved it. I still play it now and then, and there's even a GBA version.

Time will tell. It certainly would be awesome and create a link between all the different series. Shephard's Mind is also my favourite Mind series in addition to Freeman's Mind, so to see them co-operating would be like a dream come true for me!
