@Rarity I want to get into the Dark Souls games but I don't know where to start. From what I've heard 1 is good, 2 is bad and 3 is good again. So should I play 1 and then jump to 3? There also seems to be a monstrous amount of lore. What's the best way of tackling all of this for someone who has never played any of the Dark souls games?

I'm not saying I started the fire. But I most certain poured gasoline on it.

I absolutely bum the monsters and enemies in that game (and on a related note, Bloodborne), but in order to appreciate them I need to watch playthroughs or read articles on Bogleech. I tried playing the first game on the PS3 and I genuinely couldn't get over a bridge with some undead blokes on it after I picked up by a giant crow and talked to some arsehole knight.

I would start with 1 then go to 3. 2 Is STILL in debate whether or not it's actually in the same universe as the first and subsequently third. Though the first is truly the hardest of the three imo. If you want some general tips, start with the master ring and there's no shame in running from/past enemies. I experienced the game with a halberd build twice but both the weapons I used aren't guaranteed to appear so that's a gamble build. Whatever weapon you do choose, try out all it's attack combo's BEFORE you get into a fight. And lastly, patience. do NOT mash attack buttons. That's the fastest way to the loading screen.

As for lore, item descriptions. The entire world is built upon fragments of the item descriptions. And even some clues to secret and hidden areas and where to look for them.

My perception of this game is like a coach that is super tough on you. You're gonna get mad at it for a lot of what it puts you through but when you cool down and come back to it you will be better and get a whole new experience.

it started off so normal too. I'm not even subscribed to the other 2 guys.

Cannot stop laughing. XD And the weirdest one even has the most views out of all them. Whyyyy!?

Because it's the weirdest one. Hell, I'm tempted to find it, so I can watch it, on the title and thumbnail alone. I'm sure it's just pure clickbait (minus the random circle on the thumbnail, and boobs).

Also, my reaction to the third one:

I find the weirdest stuff in my "Recommendations" too, usually of a pseudo-national socialist character and content. I'm subscribed to stupid computer game channels and various other bits related to black metal and cartoons. Who would of guessed that Youtube was prime dogging territory for closet nazis?

I actually managed to identify why the second video was suggested but still have no clue where the fuck that third one came from. O_o

The second guy is someone who plays with someone I am subscribed to and he also uploaded an insurgency video.

I once had this video show up in my recommendations:

But of course, it doesn't show the video description in the recommendations. Soo... >.>

Also, why the fuck it was in my recommendations, I will never know. XD
