  2. No it isn't... It's for surviving the zombie apocalypse with as much style as I can have... By the way, the dam has an island in the middle of it, so I would effectively own a private island.
  3. My computer beeping at me because for some reason the input buffer keeps overflowing.
  4. But I want to talk about random art in the art thread...
  5. Feeling good and bad at the same time... Have a Steam controller arriving in 2 days, but I have a deep nose bleed that I'm having to deal with.
  6. Quit talking about art in the random thread!
  7. Be glad you didn't get South Dakota weather... 90° sunny weather, then 2 hours of -40° with blizzard conditions, and then back to sunny and 90°. You can literally do snowboarding in shorts and a t-shirt.
  8. Star Trek Online.
  9. Why are people still saying to make an Outfit? THERE IS ONE ON EACH OF THE US SERVERS ALREADY!!! Accursed Farms (US West server) and Accursed Farms East (US East server) are open for anyone to join!
  10. "I can do bouncy..."

  12. Nosebleed.
  13. You mean an endless supply of booze, right? Actually, alcohol is useful for many different things. It can be used as a primary fuel source for an internal combustion engine, disinfectant, mild muscle relaxant and painkiller, solvent, cleaning supplies, trade, and as the primary fuel source for incendiary devices. It can even be used as an evaporative cooling agent or antifreeze. There are a LOT of uses for it besides just getting drunk.
  14. Various computer sounds, trying to see if any of them are off from their normals.
  15. Trying to decide if I should game, or go to bed... Just got done dealing with a deep nose bleed.
  16. I haven't bothered looking, but I can tell through the blinds that the sun is out, and that means it's probly quite warm. Essentially, it's too bright and warm outside, because the sun is out and it's almost May.
  17. I have a set that is great for all those 'hardcore' MMO players out there in PvP land... Back when WoW was actually a good game, (before WotLK destroyed the skills) I was running around doing casual PvP with a couple friends. (we were all Alliance, I was a Dwarf Hunter) We were all pure casual players, and had 2 purple quality items among us, both were several levels too low for us to use effectively. Essentially, we went into matches with green and blue quality items and our skill. We ended up slaughtering virtually everyone we were put up against, and this got us a very prominent reputation on our server. After a while, someone was trying to say that I was stupid for stacking agility on my hunter, but he decided to do so on a chat channel visible to one of the larger cities in the BC areas, and drew the attention of 3 of the best PvPers on the server. All of those PvPers said they had been trying to figure out why I had slaughtered them so much, and that they were going to start trying out that kind of build for PvP. I became essentially the 'founding father' of stat stacking on that server. Moral: You may be good, but don't be derisive of someone doing something unconventional... He may be a lot better than you at what you claim to be good at. PS: Don't ever play a hunter in PvP in modern (anything after WotLK) WoW, as they nerfed hunters HARD. They used to be decent at PvP, and the best at solo PvE, (even with lower-quality gear) but now they can't even hold their own in solo PvE without getting excellent gear. (and they're just free points for the enemy in PvP)
  18. The problem is that every single system reacts differently to each setting... My laptop that I'm playing on can do almost any setting, provided the shadows are disabled, and not change the framerate much. On another laptop, shadows don't change the framerate, but everything else does. On another, only the texture resolution affects framerates. There are just too many variables in system design for a simple guide. If you PM me your system specs, I can give you a likelihood of settings that will maximize your framerate while preserving visual fidelity. It's not just him... I also was quite thrilled to see the reference. (too many don't bother with the great classics, which is sad) Lag is very specific to your internet and location... Best thing to do is go into the game before the meetup, and see if the lag is too much or not. I think splitting up across factions is going to be a very difficult thing to manage. You'll end up with a lot of confusion and players that don't want to shoot because "DON'T KILL OUR SUPREME LEADER ROSS SCOTT!!!", and that could potentially lead to worse gameplay for all sides. They may not have fast firing, but the DPS for the NC is identical. (and it's far closer to standard FPS game's playstyle than the other factions) Prowler is TR only... Not really applicable for this. (it also doesn't stand a chance against a good driver in a Vanguard or a pair of lightnings) BTW, I did the math, and the most efficient tank in the game is a Lightning with a Skyguard. Good against everything, low cost, very fast. My method is usually to take out the spawns, then run to the other side of the map to take an otherwise undefended territory, then return and help the main force. Occasionally grab a whale (Galaxy) and sit at max altitude to drop anti-air near the enemy warpgate, or drop heavies over a capture point when the enemy doesn't have good air coverage. I also am fond of getting my team sitting inside the capture points of a location before the connecting zones are fully captured, so we have a foothold immediately that the enemy have to deal with before they can attempt a recapture push. (destroying vehicle terminals, and boobytrapping them is also fun) I have always been quite proficient in getting a regenerating sunderer into a great position, the problem is that it's almost never the first one on the scene, and all the good areas to deploy are blocked by some really badly placed sundies. (so I either have to wait, or have a very limited selection of secure deploy areas) Get a dozen experienced players with Warden toting heavies up on an overwatch area, and you can usually take out any enemy strong point. (I have seen teams like that take out over 50 enemies and their 2 cloaked sundies without a single death on our side vs both the TR and VS, so this is a tactic I love to see used) I honestly consider the Warden to be slightly OP, considering it is essentially a mid-range sniper with semi-auto capabilities and a relatively large magazine. On a heavy, it is the perfect counter-sniper system. (the heavy shield gives you immunity to the 1-hit-kill sniper headshots, so you have time to put your own headshots down-range)
  19. I have actually built a clan for those who are advanced enough to know how those work... It is available to the NC on the Emerald (US East) and Connery (US West) servers. Should be able to find it by searching for Accursed Farms. I am hoping to be there for this event, and will likely be running a small squad to do 'black ops' style missions. (running behind enemy lines to delay their vehicles from getting to the front lines, or do hit & run tactics on undefended territories) In game name is BTGbullseye or Bobthegreat.
  20. I'd also throw in an 'XP' system to slowly mutate your animal... (get points from eating/drinking/etc.) Have your eagle mutate to have paralytic venom in its talons, or the bear to have an extra sonic amplitude to its roar that stuns other animals, or a deer to grow functional wings+flight tail... Armor/health boosts. (thousands of mutations per animal, all somewhat plausible; no 6-armed monkeys with laser eyes and plate armor, but 'adaptive camouflage' on your long-legged crocogator would be fine) After a certain amount of mutations, (probly after a few dozen mutations that are internal/minor) you start to notice everything around your animal mutating slightly as well. Even throw in a few man made environments that you can visit. (though they are not the ideal locations for your animal, mainly because there's almost nothing useful/edible there, but a lot safer for your non-predatory animals) Endgame, you're essentially a heavily mutated animal, in a heavily mutated world, you've mutated enough to be as smart as a human, and have figured out that the mutations are being caused by some *insert industrial/government experiment/accident analogue here* that also killed all humans. (hence the animal-only environment)
  21. I use an X360 controller... It shouldn't be this hard to get it to fly straight instead of wobbling 30° every few seconds when not flying at top speed.
