Hehe I know what you mean, me either. The art is really impressive and it holds up fine today. And the voice acting is definitely great. And yeah, I really can't relate to putting Skyrim so high. It just seems like a really overhyped game to me. But then again it's not my cup of tea so I shouldn't speak for it.

1. Each playthrough of the games are bound to be a little different as not only can you create several different Shepards, you can also make several dialogue choices and action choices that influence your character and the choices you make in one game can have big effects on another, which is really cool, since you can import your save into Mass Effect 2. 2. You should definitely start with the first one. There's no question about it.

I like Borderlands a lot, and the mission packs they made for HL1, Opposing Force in particular, were decent.

I think Skyrim in Nr2 its silly, takes away all the credibility of the chart. But of course, thats my opinion, and i really liked Skyrim. Oh and one game that had a HUGE impact in me was Grim Fandango, along with Baldur's Gate 2, probably my favorites of all time. Fuck yeah, Grim Fandango is one of the best PC games of all time imo. The graphics look good even today, way ahead of their time for 1998-1999. And the game just feels timeless all in all, because it doesn't rely too much on references to anything current.

The Baldur's Gate series haven't been around for a while, but I think that now when BioWare have finished the Mass Effect trilogy they could have more time to work on another.

I actually think a reboot could do better than DNF because DNF was more of a fanservice thing for those who love the old Duke and actually wanted the game. I think it's time we got a new one that could appeal more to today's crowd and be built from the ground up by Gearbox rather than going from company to company and engine to engine like DNF did.
