  1. Dumb Owls Wash Dumber Chickens IPCUD
  2. Looks like a cool project, good luck and hopefully everything works well.
  3. Agreed, granted my system handled the game fairly well, my system is not the norm. It's just unfortunate that WB can't release an Arkham game on PC without having day 1 issues, granted AK is the worst of the 4. OT: Play some Elite Dangerous today, though it's not my cup of tea, and then messed around in Scribblenauts again.
  4. Jurassic World, not sure how to rate this one... I guess a 7/10? It was an entertaining popcorn flick but had too many modern cliche's going for it and plot holes/problems that exist only because the characters are kind of really stupid.
  5. Just finished Arkham Knight on PC, FFS this game was horribly optimized for PC and the story/game was another let down at the end of the day. Ended up messing around with Scribblenauts Unlimited today, never underestimate the utility of baboons and horrible puns.
  6. I have a lot to say about all 4 games, but really the best way to sum up my thoughts is to say that, while it does have the best souls-style gameplay of the three, Dark Souls 2 feels the weakest of the three souls games so far (not counting bloodborne because I don't count that as a souls game). It has a story that feels like fanfiction from the first (let's blame all the weirdness on Aldia and Seath again), the bosses are boring and repetitive (how many times did we need to fight Smelter, Dragon Rider, Nashandra, and giant wolf/tiger bosses?), and the Emerald Herald felt like a forced recall to the Maiden in Black from Demon's. Oh, let's not even get started on rebalances. So much senesless rebalancing. The story was only interesting when it was referencing something from Dark 1, like Manus, Seath, or Artorias. I'm just glad that the weapon upgrade system is starting to make sense, albeit a lot of the upgrade paths suffer more severely from the same issues it had in Dark 1, mainly being the utility of weapon effects in combat. Here's to hoping Dark 3 does something amazing, otherwise I'll be hoping to see the "spiritual" sequel to bloodborne that goes multiplat.
  7. I've made some updates to mine a few months ago. CPU: Intel 5930K 6-Core, Hyperthreaded and OC'd to 4.7 GHZ RAM: 32GB DDR4 Crucial Ballistix Mobo: Asus X99 Deluxe (rev 1, so no USB 3.1) GPU: Nvidia GTX 980, no aftermarket branding to be seen PSU: 1000w EVGA SuperNova Platinum SSD: 1TB Samsung 840 Evo HDD1: 6TB Seagate HDD2: 3TB Seagate 7200RPM Monitor1: Dell 4K 24-inch IPS display Monitor 2: LG 1080P 23-inch IPS display Why the hardware updates so soon? Well, I've been working a lot more with VMs, general deployment and programming, so the extra horsepower is very helpful for quick testing in multiple OSes. It games very well, too, The cooling is where things get interesting, I'm now running a custom water cooling loop. I'll upload pictures later if I remember. It's very quiet and very cool, which is awesome considering I'm living in a desert basically.
  8. Geez, I can hardly believe it's been 7 years since I saw the first episode of Freeman's Mind. I remember all the jokes people made about Valve managing to churn out HL3 before Ross finished this series. WELL, WHERE'S HL3? I DON'T SEE IT! This was a great series and I'm glad to see it end on an awesome note, if Ross continues it that'll be amazing, but I'm also excited to see what else will come out of the barn. Hopefully more CP? Another series? I can't wait
  9. I'm not sure if they work for wireless peripherals, but I know you can get adapters for converting USB mice/keyboards to the old PS/2 connection. They might help your situation. Or you could always get a USB hub to add more USB ports to your system.
  10. I had to get MGR on the Steam sale. No other game had me more excited on the sale than that one *0*
  11. Voted for Infinite since it's the only game on the list that I've played. Then again, I'm also a gamer that won't always play the newest titles when they come out, as a lot of my gaming time this year was spent on titles I've bought on impulse from the sales over the last few years. I think the only games I've played this year that were 2013 releases were Infinite, Batman: AO, Skullgirls, AVGN Adventures, FC3: Blood Dragon, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
  12. Been playing the crap out of Metal Gear Rising. This game is one of the best spectacle fighters I've ever played.
  13. Okay, new favorite character. The NPC in white forest who tells the story about how he fights Hunters using only his fists.
  14. Prinny, Can I Really Be the Hero? First game in a long time where I'm refusing to finish it. One of the bosses is needlessly frustrating (the seventh boss), and this is coming from someone who's played Demon's Souls and Dark Souls multiple times. Dove into HL2E2 earlier this evening, great game.
  15. Been playing me some hyped Blood Dragon. Damn, dude, and I thought I modded the shit out of that game lol
  16. Beat Darksiders 2 today, played some audiosurf because I was bored.
  17. Been playing Darksiders 2 for a while, finally figured out how to get Doom BFG to launch on my system. It's so dumb!
  18. While I don't necessarily agree with your scoring, (I felt it was a solid 7.5/10), I think you reviewed this well. I don't really dock points for this game based on the storyline, as weak as it is, because it's a fun, kind of cooky plot that gives enough reason to go on this journey with the main character, and for this style of game, that's all you need. Plus, the enemies felt like a good cross between homages to other video game characters/villains and some creativity on part of the developers. I'd also rate the gameplay aspect a little higher, since the learning curve for the jumping controls isn't that steep and are really the only controls that can give the player a headache. Plus, there's the option for local co-op, which many games lack these days, so I'd give the game a bonus point for including that at least. I agree with you on the notes about the sound design, though, from music to sound effects. The main menu theme was the only one to really stand out for me, and that's not saying much. On a somewhat unrelated note, I wish we'd see indie developers explore other styles from this era aside from sidescrolling shooting galleries (I got contra flashbacks from playing this), like those overhead aerial shooters. Games like Bleed are fun, but c'mon guys, there's more to explore here.
  19. Damn dude, you did what I did last year in terms of cash spent on the sale. Bravo! I kept myself down to $120 spent, and don't really feel like I missed much. Anyway, OT: Bought Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams today.
  20. Got Doom 3: BFG addition on a flash sale today.
  21. So did I lol I bet a Microsoft or EA employee started it
  22. Hmmm, I dunno. Quantum Gohan doesn't sound as epically ridiculous as Mystic Gohan.
  23. Finished Duke Nukem Forever today. Fucking great game, better than Rage.
  24. A PB& Strawberry J sammich with a tall glass of ovaltine :3
  25. I can't express the facepalm I did when I saw two favorable scores for the Man of Steel... anyway, OT: Star Trek IV: Voyage Home - 7/10 The movie had a slow start, but it got much more interesting after that. Spock mind-melding with a whale was fucking awesome.
