Forcefield generators in the suit provide a bubble of breathable air in environments where ambient air (or lack thereof) is deleterious to human health. Yeah. And these generators are powered by the bio electrical activity in the human body. Yeah, yeah. And the beating of one's heart turns a rotor that, combined with one's body heat, helps to power the generator. Yeah, that's the ticket. Screw helmets, man! I've got Science!

The thread in question was my thread. I am okay with it being locked and I feel no ill-will towards any moderators nor do I see it as any sort of "power-trip" or whatever. Oh well, back to the madness.

I am thinking that headcrabs might actually taste something like crab meat. It might be how they (the citizens of Earth after HL1) named it. Headhumper + Crab = Headcrab. Bullsquids, on the other hand, taste like caterpillars.

The events of the RC changed his face and voice. Case closed. But "Kleiner" was mentioned in HL1.

The creators of Half-Life stated that, while the scientist at the beginning of HL1 ("it's about to go critical") doesn't sound like him, it is Kleiner. In the Black Mesa mod, the developers are going to have Kleiner at that point with Eli. I'm going to say that the City 17 has played with Kleiner's vocal chords to change his voice over the years. Or something happened as they were getting out of the facility that caused Izzy's vocal chords to become strained and that's why he sounds different now. But the creators said that the white scientist there is supposed to be Isaac Kleiner. So, therefore...

According to Marc Laidlaw, IIRC, the two scientists at the beginning of HL1 are Isaac Kleiner and Eli Vance. They are the ones that say, "What the hell is going on with our equipment?" and "It wasn't MEANT to do this in the first place!" and then after the RC, Kleiner is hurt and Eli says that he's afraid to move him and that all the phones are out. At this time, Gordon doesn't have a weapon...though it is possible to get the crowbar and then come back and kill them. But most don't do that so it wouldn't be canon anyway.

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the title of this thread is "What Would Freeman Do For a Klondike Bar?" And that's what he'd do. He'd go home and eat a Klondike Bar...to wash down the oxycodone.

Isn't there an episode where Freeman mentions Tupac? I know he mentioned that he had dreams where he was Snoop Dogg, but I seem to recall him mentioning Tupac as well.

In the Tunnel, Dave and Mike are searching the man's hideout in the Miskatonic Tunnel. Dave complains that the man does not have anything good to steal and Mike responds that anything they find would have to turn it in anyway. Dave says, "To each their own" and Mike says that Dave has been hanging out with Eddie too much. Do you think this "Eddie" is the same Eddie that Freeman mentions during Freeman's Mind?

I took a look at the subtitles for The Tunnel that you provided and here's my suggestions. 3 - Man, it is DEAD out here today. 4 - Yeah, it is pretty quiet now that you mention it. 5 - Well, not just that, but except for roll call, I haven't seen ANYONE this morning. 6 - Not even somebody just walking down the street. Nothing. 20 - I can't read any of the old signs here with the Russian lettering. 21 - For all I know, they're saying my mother's ugly. 36 - and they were talking about these crows that live in the city. 42 - But the problem is that the cars are always moving, so they can't land safely to pick up the nuts. 49 - Ha ha. Yeah. Like Barney. 50 - Barney. Man, Barney's such an idiot. 53 - Get this: He was supposed to check out this store alarm that went off by... 60 - So, what's this about Barney? 68 - Driver appears to be heading... west...in a black four-door sedan. 70 - Requesting an APB. Also, the ellipses used came out weird due to them being a single character in the file, so I changed them into three periods. And when Mike and Dave are referring to "Dispatch", this is a title so I capitalized the D. I have provided an updated SRT file for these corrections (except for the "conjugate" line). Thanks for subtitling this! It must've been very hard work!

If Ross makes a 90-minute CP, doing it by himself or with a small team of people would be difficult. I suggest getting a large team with many different responsibilities such as map creation, texture-mapping, sound effects, and so on, but creative control remains with Ross.
