I downloaded (via keepvid.com) the Youtube video so it should be timed to that. In fact, all my videos are timed to the Youtube videos. Perhaps when I get some free time, I might adjust the timing on the subtitles for the downloadable copy (assuming that the downloadable copy is what you're saying is off). Or are you saying that it's off in regards to the Youtube video? Because it's fine on my end.

Well, even though Gordon didn't explode Magnusson's casserole in FM, it's possible that Magnusson could still blame Freeman for its destruction. After all, Gordon caused the RC by pushing the sample into the beam thus ruining Magnusson's casserole.

While I'm not a parkour expert or anything, I've done a lot of climbing before. If you climb up by giving yourself a vertical jump boost as you're doing it, it will help push most of your weight up (so you don't have to lift your entire weight) assuming the gripping point is low enough. Once you can get up enough to have your stomach over the point, you can kind of scramble upright from that carefully. The only space you really "need" is for one foot and at least the side for one hand. Regardless, what I wanted to do was just stack the dog containers, but the game wouldn't let me move them. I'll say the conceit here with Gordon pulling himself onto the light is that the HEV suit is like bionics or something. The Six Million Dollar Man, y'know? Gordon says that he can do pull ups, but we all know he's a liar. It's the suit doing it. He just needs to get a grip (pun only partially intended). Or a grappling hook. My favorite lines is when he's shouting or conversing with non-human enemies. "Okay, I'm your dance instructor--No! You're starting too early! Stop that! I said stop that! 1-2-3 Left! 1-2-3 Left! No, no, your rhythm's all wrong!" or Bill's signature quote.

It appears that there is a heated debate in the Ukraine (from my research) over the two languages. Some speak Ukrainian and others speak Russian. Russian is mainly spoken for business transactions while Ukrainian is mainly spoken in governmental transactions. Some feel that the "Russianization" (if that's a word) of the Ukraine is an offense or affront. For this reason, I believe that both Ukrainian and Russian subtitles (if there's a demand for them; I don't know how many Russians versus Ukrainians watch AF stuff) should be offered. Even if 100% of the population of the Ukraine can speak Russian perfectly. If someone is willing to translate into the languages, of course. But don't look at me. I can only speak two languages: English and Bad English.

IIRC, he's sent the audio off to Otto for mixing and such but hasn't heard back yet. That's what I think Ross said a while ago. Dunno if that's changed since then, though.

The beginning of the Half-Life game is not the beginning of Gordon's employment at Black Mesa. In fact, Ross' Gordon references this by complaining that people have taken stuff out of his locker and that feeling like everything's backwards at the beginning. The casserole could reference a time outside of what happens in "Freeman's Mind". Alyx: "Get in the passenger side, Gordon." Gordon: "I'm not getting in this thing. You've got a fucking robot here that hasn't even done simple trajectory plotting. What if it throws us down the abyss? What if it smashes us into the side of the Citadel? Look at this; there aren't even any seatbelts. You might trust your life with a bucket of bolts, but I'm not. Can I find another way down? There's no other way down. All right. Taking my life into my own hands...."

He said that he didn't want to look gay, but then again, not-gay sailors also have pierced ears...as do pirates, because they're sailors. And, just prior to the pirate episode, he mentions that he "should've been a pirate".

There's only so much detail that can fit within a 100x100 avatar. I think that's what's being said.

Vortigaunt: The guardian is enraged over our theft of the extract. If it tries to hinder our progress, we will have no choice but to kill it. Gordon: You mean "me", right? Alyx: You messed with its eggs? Gordon: No-- Alyx: No wonder it's mad. Gordon: No, this bastard here did. I didn't do shit! I run my ass all over the caves, getting slammed into the walls by that thing to save YOUR life, and you have the nerve to say that *I* messed with its eggs! This bastard just sat on his ass while I did all the work! Wait, do vortigaunts even have asses?

Looking at all four, the one that stutters the least for me is the MP4. The one that stutters the most for me is the MKV. AVI is a bit worse than MP4 and WMV is a bit better than MKV. So, in order from best to worst: MP4, AVI, WMV, MKV. On my computer. I am using the VLC media player and I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium-64bit, 6GB RAM, Athlon II X4 630 2.8GHz.

I doubt that we'll get to Half-Life 2, to be honest. And I'm not sure it should continue into HL2. Ross might burn out before the end of HL2 and we don't want that.

Episode 28 So, I got a response back from Ross regarding Episode 28. In Episode 28, Gordon speaks Hindi after suggesting that he's going to move to India after he gets out of the facility, and I originally just put "[speaks Hindi]" in because, well, I don't speak Hindi and I didn't know what was being said. So, Ross got back to me (THANKS!!!!!) and pointed me in the right direction and I was able to (I believe) get a Romanized version of what was being said. If you want to know what is being said, please see behind the spoiler tag: I am sending the revised version of Episode 28 out now.

I think I watched it first when episode 6 was done. When Episode 10.5 happened, I initially thought, "NOOOOO!!!" then realized what it was.

I can't figure out how to extract the textures using Crafty. I have looked online for guides but cannot figure it out. Any clue how to do it?

There are certain situations in which I play certain lines over in my head as a response. Does that count? I was waiting for an elevator a while back that was taking a long time to come to the floor I was on. And I thought in my head, "If I had a grappling hook, I could go 'whoosh' up there, then 'whoosh' up there. You don't need a physics degree to grasp the concept. But the fact that HAVE one is just insult to injury!" Also, when playing Half-Life yesterday and I got to the point where you're in the elevator behind the boxes of explosives, I did think "I have to blow everything up! It's the only way to prove I'm not crazy!" But I don't think that counts.

Me, I just finished something insane and hoped that I was able to get it done before Episode 39 came out. I have created FOURTEEN subtitle files for all the missing Freeman's Mind episodes.
