Only the initial ship costs money, (for now) all ships are available for in-game currency, and even for relatively low overall price, just with the small caveat of if it gets destroyed, you have to buy another. Also, this won't be an issue with Squadron 42, as that will supposedly be a purely offline singleplayer game.

Star Citizen is in an Alpha state. No tutorial whatsoever, and even after reading some "get started quick" guides, it took me over an hour to figure out how to get my ship in orbit. None of the NPCs are scripted yet, apart from a couple with "walk back and forth" animations. Squadron 42 is the singleplayer version, and is nowhere near playable yet. If this was the final state, I wouldn't buy it for $1.

How about this for an endorsement of taking a break... Every single one of the youtubers I watch on the regular (Baradul, Lathland, Major Hardware, JayzTwoCents, Hardware Unboxed, Gamers Nexus, etc.) have taken breaks regularly in the past year. Hardware Unboxed even lost access to their channel for a few weeks because of it, but they are all doing quite well despite (or because of) the break time. -

Yes, but then again I want to do that too, provided I can get electricity and internet there for free. The context is that I had planned on trying to get my sleep schedule under control, and start falling asleep before 3AM so I wouldn't be exhausted at work all the time... Weird or not?

Valheim. My vote for GOTY 2021 so far, even if they are only Early Access. Despite no modding support whatsoever, either in place or planned, it already has over 500 mods for it.

Star Citizen and Squadron 42. I know they're a decade from completion, but I can wait.

Is that in binary? If it is, then no.

Not at all. I have that same mentality. Form over function is stupid, and what made "everything is disposable" a common occurrence. Am I weird for having stayed up until 5:30AM?

Space refers to the gap between the planets/stars/etc. Cosmos includes everything not contained within Earth's atmosphere.
