Have you tried an electronic cig? They're basically nebulizers... My Dad uses one, and he now no longer smells like stale cigarettes all day, and doesn't cough nearly as much. Plus he feels better, more energy and the like... Oh, and they're cheaper than cigarettes if you compare two cartons of cig to the equivalent e-cig stuff from the start, and it's a lot less after that. Just a thought...

It does... DayZ uses a lot of CPU and a LOT of RAM... Faster and more RAM and a faster CPU are big benefits when you want to go over minimum settings. Unfortunately, I could never get the ARMA2 game engine to properly map my keyboard and mouse to use default FPS layouts, so I never got in to DayZ.

Just as a side note, and I don't know if this will have any affect on you, but I was getting that same exact stutter without ever even thinking about recording...

And probly get that mod too... Sounds interesting.

Congrats! 8GB of RAM is highly recommended... I had never before used more than 4GB RAM, but when I managed to get a good look at my RAM usage with a historical chart in the middle of last year, the actual usage went up to as high as 7.35GB when I was in-game. (it won't look that high if you check it in other ways usually)

Now I want to find my Civ4 disk, and reinstall...
